Why an exhibition on Space at the Museum?

The exploration of Space has always beenperceived as the maximum challenge for the

human capacity because it integratesknowledge and technological evolution.

Research and industry in Italy play a fundamental role in this field.

The key concept at the basis of the new exhibition links to the notion of

Space as a privileged place from whichwe can observe and explore not only

around us but also towards us.

It aims to present the most recenttechnological developments and the most enthralling scientific discoveries

The new permanent exhibition devoted to Nutrition

We are currently working for the design and production of a

new permanent large-scale interactive exhibition exploring

the complexity of the foodsystem and the role of science

and technology.

The exhibition will open by April 2015, before the beginning of EXPO2015 (1 May) and aims to represent a consistent long-

lasting cultural resource for school groups, teenagers, families, adults, media, scientific communities.

The exhibition will develop along two complementary axes:

- the food supply chain focusing on the role of science and technology- the challenges for the global food system along its path towardsthe future

A - Food and the individualReflect upon the personal relationship of each person with food

and to understand the role of science and technology in changingsocio-cultural patterns of food consumption

B - Food and processingInvites visitors to explore processes and technologies used by the

food-processing industry

aspects and moments of change.
