• OEM preinstalls are listed on the Start screen in an OEM group• The preinstalls contain both wide and square tiles and can vary

based on geography and market

• All preinstalls must be free in the Store for the OEM’s customerso Preinstalls are exclusive to OEMs by default

o Developers may choose to make the same free app available for both preinstall and all customers in the Windows Store

o Developers who wish to have a paid app in addition to their free preinstall must create a new app (with a new name and AppID)

• Your OEM partner(s) must nominate you as a “channel developer” (to the Windows Store)

OEMs can preinstall up to 24 Metro style apps
