• Ty Cobb was born on December 18th, 1886. One thing that is not mentioned about Cobb was his fielding. He committed 271 errors in his career. But on the bright side he was a great hitter. He also was a fast runner and his amount of career stolen bases was broken in 1977 by Ricky Henderson. Cobb sharpened his cleats so when he slid he would injure the opposing player. Ty Cobb passed away in July 17th 1961.

But he had courage and beat Babe.

Strikeouts. Cy has the fourth all-time shutouts with 76. He won 30 games in 5 seasons and in 10 seasons he won 20. He pitched three no hitters and one being a perfect game. His perfect game was the third ever. Cy retired because every one bunted and he was to overweight to get the bunts.

He had a great fastball and outstanding control. He also featured a fadeaway which now is none as a screwball.
