Q1. Please could you extend the closing for another 10 days?

A1. Due to time constraints the closing date will remain as 12:00 p.m. Noon (local time), February 29, 2016.

Q2. The CD we have cannot print spec from page 196-467 (secured).

A2. The PDF is secured as security feature with all City of Toronto call documents. It will print

to a normal printer (hardcopy). It will not print from PDF to PDF as part of the security feature to prevent bidders from altering the files.

Q3. Could you please breakdown drawings into PDF files that do not exceed 10 MB for sending to sub-contractors by emails?

A3. The City will not breakdown the drawings into separate smaller files. The drawing set reads

as a complete set. Bidders and their sub-trades providing pricing are encouraged to be given the complete set of drawings for proper coordination of bid and scope. The City will assume no risk or extra costs from the Bidder or its sub-trades for any extras resulting in sub-trades given portions of the drawings and specifications.

Q4. Is Omni Sub-contractor for fire alarm, Sprinkler and electrical Work?

A4. Omni is Landlord contractor for sprinkler and fire alarm work only including verification of

fire alarm devices as noted on page 48, item 2. All other electrical work can be carried out by the Bidders own sub-trade.

2. Revised Pricing Form – Base Bid Replace the Pricing Forms from pages 35 to 42 of 163 in the tender document with the enclosed

Revised Pricing Forms. (Enclosed 12 pages). Please note all Alternate Price items A through K are not to be included in the Base Bid Price.

Project No.: 215121 Date: February 18, 2016 Project: Orchard Grove Childcare Centre Interior Renovations The following information supplements and/or supersedes the bid documents issued on February 11, 2014. This Addendum forms part of the contract documents and is to be read, interpreted, and coordinated with all other parts. The cost of all contained herein is to be included in the contract sum. The following revisions supersede the information contained in the original drawings and specifications issued for the above-named project to the extent referenced and shall become part thereof. Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum by inserting its number and date on the Tender Form. Failure to do so may subject bidder to disqualification. 1. Intent:

1.1. This Addendum is issued to clarify and revise scope of work.

2. General:

2.1. Refer to the Specifications appendices, “Pre-Renovation Designated Substance and Hazardous Materials Survey” prepared by Environmental Consulting Occupational Health (ECOH). General Contractor to include all required abatement work in the contract Base Price. This work is not under a cash allowance.

2.2. All references to separate and or alternate prices on drawings and technical specifications are to be deleted. Refer to Section 3 – Tender Submission Package Pricing Form for all required pricing and provide pricing as per items included in Forms.

3. Architectural:

3.1. Refer to Architectural Drawing A900, Door Schedule, Door 105B. ADD: 500x300 Door Grille.

3.2. Refer to Architectural Drawing A200, ADD General Demolition Note: General Contractor to cut and remove existing floor slab as required for mechanical work. Patch and make good all surfaces affected by work. Refer to mechanical drawings.

3.3. Refer to Architectural Drawing A200, Note 237. Revise note 237 to: Core cut existing exterior wall to as

required for mechanical and/or electrical work. Patch and make good all surfaces affected by work. Refer to mechanical and electrical drawings.

3.4. Refer to Architectural Drawing A201, ADD General Demolition Note: General Contractor to cut and remove existing floor slab as required for mechanical work. Patch and make good all surfaces affected by work. Refer to mechanical drawings.

3.5. Refer to Architectural Drawing A300, ADD General Note: General Contractor to refer to mechanical and

electrical drawings for all core cutting locations required between the underground parking and the first floor. Patch and make good all cuts complete with firestopping.

3.6. Refer to the Specifications section 01 21 00 Allowances, item 2.9. DELETE the list of cash allowances and ADD “Refer to Section 3 – Tender Submission Package Pricing Form for list of cash allowances to include in the bid price.”

3.7. Refer to the Specifications section 01 21 00 Allowances, item 3.1. DELETE “Include in the Contract Price a contingency allowance of $100,000.00” ADD “Refer to Section 3 – Tender Submission Package Pricing

(1) #B-290 1830: One-piece, roll-formed 19mm x 19mm angle frame. Corners heliarc welded, ground and polished smooth. Bevelled frame edge at mirror for improved appearance. No. 1 quality, 6mm glass mirror; warranted against silver spoilage for 10 years. Galvanized steel back. Secured to concealed wall hanger.

(2) Finish: Type 304 Stainless steel angle with satin finish.

4. Electrical: 4.1. Refer to the attached Electrical Addendum E#1 and perform work as required.
