Miasms, Shmiasms, what is all the fuss about?
Revisiting the concept with a 21st Century approach, and that includes Psora
too....
What is a Miasm, after all?
• Hahnemann in CD: the deep seated effects of
an infection (in the larger sense of the term).
• Modern science and genetics confirms • Modern science and genetics confirms
Hahnemann’s genius: at least 8% of our genes
are similar to retroviruses (Zimmer) and RNA
viruses are integrated in our genome (Levine),
they are related to Ebola and Marburg!
Sankaran’s miasms are all infectious except for the Acute.
• Typhoid
• Psora
• Malaria
• Ringworm• Ringworm
• Sycosis
• Cancer
• Tuberculosis
• Leprosy
• Syphilis/Luesis
And then, there are the new miasms, infectious and not
infectious...
• Aids
• Ebola/Marburg
• EMF
• Nuclear• Nuclear
• Vaccines
• Cellphone and other of the same bottle
• Heavy metals (not the music)
• Noise pollution (including heavy metal music)
• All forms of pollution...
Let’s make some sense of that mishmash of confusion....
...and do that according to my Mantra: Simply, Demystify, Explain.
Let us....
• Rename
• Re-classify
• According to today’s understanding of
physiology and pathologyphysiology and pathology
• Using concepts that were not present in
Hahnemnan’s time
• Hence he did the best that could be done with
the tools available
1. Pathogenic “Miasms”.
• Those that bring diseases...
• But they are not all “infections”
• Hence the new name:
PATHOGENIC OCCURRENCES.
Pathogenic occurrences subdivisions,
recycled as Perturbations or Maladies.
• Acquired/Extrinsic Perturbations/Maladies (formerly
Acquired Miasms).Acquired Miasms).
• Ancestral/Intrinsic Perturbations/Maladies (formerly
Ancestral Miasms)
Acquired perturbations = NBWS.
Examples:
• Acquired Psora
• Acquired Sycosis
• Acquired Luesis• Acquired Luesis
• All treated with their situational remedy/ies, now
NBWS, treated with their nosodes.
• The patient has acquired a “miasm” that if left
alone will lead to chronic disease
Ancestral Perturbations: familial & genetic.
• My own example of Tuberculinum.
• Familial histories of recurrent pathologies, “it is in the family, it is in our genes...”is in the family, it is in our genes...”
• The symptoms disappear with the Simillimum(situational remedy) but the pathology recurs in some or other form = the original Hahnemannian Miasms (needing nosodes).
SO why on Earth is it so difficult to get rid of the basic
three “miasms” and especially why is Psora almost
indestructible?
Yes, I am asking you..........................
fact:
• Of all the diseases rife during his time,
Hahnemann chose Psora, Sycosis and Luesis.
Why not Malaria, Leprosy, anything else?
• Apparently, he instinctively focused on
primary disturbances of physiological
functions.
And looks like this:
• Sycosis is described as building up: it is ANABOLISM, construction
• Luesis is described as destructive: it is CATABOLISM, destruction
• Psora is described as functional: it is the ENERGETIC, VIBRATIONAL LEVEL, INTENSITY, function, order and disorder, level of entropy (entropy being understood not in the old way of “disorder” but in the modern understanding “organised activity”, with normal fluctuations and pathological extremes)
Psora, Sycosis, Luesis are in fact
METABOLIC MIASMS.
• But metabolism is a normal phenomenon that
can at times become pathologicalcan at times become pathological
• Hence the new denomination:
METABOLIC PATHWAYS.
2. Metabolic Pathways:
• Psora = Energy, Vitality
• Sycosis = Anabolism
• Luesis = Catabolism
And that is why you cannot get rid of them, they
are physiological functions! Their previous, old
denominations lead to confusion. You remove
them, you die!
The appearance of a healthy person.
P = Psora = Energy, vitality
L = Luesis/Syphilis = Catabolism
S = Sycosis = Anabolism
It is of course not static, it
vibrates and changes during
the day according to the
metabolic needs, within the
range of normality.© YoniGraphics Ltd.
Summary.
• 1. Pathogenic occurrences:
– Acquired perturbations/maladies
– Ancestral perturbations/maladies
Those are the “real” former Miasms. Those are the “real” former Miasms.
• 2. Metabolic Pathways:
– Energy
– Anabolism
– Catabolism
Those are “anomalies” in the metabolism.
Summary.
• This covers the whole physiopathology
• This dispenses with the old terminology of
“miasms”
• This removes confusion as to how the • This removes confusion as to how the
presentation of a disease has to be approached:
a metabolic disorder, a personal event or a
familial predisposition. They can happen
together, but now you have the tools to
differentiate.
