430,332 inhabitants. It’s the capital of Miami-Dade

County, Florida.

Miami and its suburbs are located on a broad

plain between the Florida Everglades to the

west and Biscayne Bay to the east, which also

extends from Florida Bay north to Lake

Okeechobee.

the aquifer of the Biscayne Aquifer, a natural

underground freshwater spring that extends

from the southern part of Palm Beach County

to Florida Bay.

Miami is characterized by a tropical climate

with particularly rainy summer due to

thunderstorms and exposed at risk of

What can you see in Miami ?Key Biscayne is an island located in Miami-Dade County,

Florida, United States, between the Atlantic Ocean and

Biscayne Bay. It is in the south of the barrier islands along

the Atlantic coast of Florida, and it is in the south of

Miami Beach and south-east of Miami. The key is

connected to Miami via the Rickenbacker Causeway,

originally built in 1947.

The northern portion of Key Biscayne is home to

Crandon Park, a county park. The middle section of the

island consists of the incorporated Village of Key

Biscayne.

Bayfront Park is a public park in Downtown Miami,

on Biscayne Bay.

Bayfront Park holds the city's annual "America's

Birthday Bash" on Independence Day, which

attracted over 60,000 visitors in 2011. The park also

hosts the city's official New Year's Eve party that

annually hosts over 70,000 visitors.
