Olmec: The Olmec were the first major Pre-Columbian civilization in Mexico dating roughly from as early as 1500 BCE to about 400 BCE.
Mayans: Dating from 2000 BC-1524 AD the Mayans are noted for the only known fully developed written language of the pre-Columbian Americas, as well as for its art, architecture, and mathematical and astronomical systems.
Aztec: Aztec civilization originated in the area of present day Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Colorado. The early Aztec economy consisted of a type of barter system as this was a pre-capitalist society.
