METHODS OF PARAGRAPH DEVELOPMENT IN AN ESSAY

Some causes can make peop[le be Moslem. Firstly, they become Moslems because their family have believed in Islam. Secondly, they are Moslems because of marriage. Charateristics : elaborate use of sensory language - rich , vivid and lively detail - use figurative language if possible like simile,

hyperbole,metaphr, symbolism and personafication Uses : describe writing appears almost everywhere and is

often included in other genre, like in introduction of narrative and expository writing.

Exercise : observe and then describe an event - think of a person or an object that stan out in your

memory.Then write a description of that object. - find example of descriptive writing explain the elements

that make this a good example.

NARRATION

Narrative writing means telling a story. In the story, you relate the sequence of events or write an account of the actions. Narration has many different focuses. The one that you might be familiar with it is writing narrative about your personal experiences, your family, apast trip, or even a personal letter to a friend recounting what has happened to you since the last letter.

Another type of narrative is fiction like short stories,tales, ballads and jokes.When something is fiction, it is an invented story.

EXPOSITORY/EXPOSITION

This type of writing deals with facts and the purpose is to inform, to explain, to describe, or to define the subject. In the other words, it tries to give the reader information. Its subject matter may consist of (1) presentation information and (2) explaining a process. The first one, we have to present facts correctly, clearly and are arranged in a logical order, so there is a single central theme in it. The second, we have to explain steps that should be perfomed orderly including all of the necessary information. The common examples of this type are cooking instructions, driving directions, and instructions of perfoming a task. Key words like first, after, next, then, and last usually signal of sequential writing.

EXAMPLE : THE MOST HISTORICAL SIGHTS OF PARLIEMENT BUILDINGS IN CANADA

Canada like other countries has its parliement buildings. It is a European type, has some blocks, large and beautiful. The buildings has its own history that a lot of people don’t know even the Canadians. However, it is one of the historic sights in the capital city o Canada.One of the historic sights in Ottawa, the capital city, is the parliement buildings. It was build in the bank of Ottawa river. The construction of the buildings began in 1857 and finished in 18 .the main block of the buildings, called the Cetral Block, is where the House of Commons and Senate are located. The original Central Blockwas destroyed in a terrible fire in 1916. recontruction was done for 6 years. During the construction, the Victoria Tower was added, but then it was renamed the Peace Tower in 1933. The name was given to honour Canadian soldiers who died in the First World War. Also, there are two other blocks in the buildings, callled the East Block and the West Block. Today, goverment official and their staff use these blocks.In short, Parliement Buildings is the symbolic center of Canada’s history.
