Living  Our  Beliefs

Join  Pastor  Jeff  in  an  exploration  of  the  beliefs  and  practices  of  The  United  Methodist  Church  as  defined  in  The  Book  of  Discipline.  Uncover  a  deeper  understanding  and  experience  of  Christian  faith  as  you  embrace  the  United  Methodist  way.  The    questions  at  the  end  of  each  chapter  stretch  thinking  and  enrich  your  understanding  of  what  we,  as  Methodists,  believe.  Ponder  ways  to  live  your  beliefs.

Course  Leader

Lay  Servant  Heritage  Course

Rev  Jeff  Childs  serves  the  Penn  Yan  United  Methodist.  He  chairs  Upper  New  York’s  Global  Ministries  Team.

In  2013,  Jeff  joined  other  pastors  in  Yates  County  to  form  the  Living  Well  as  an  outreach  mission  for  the  county.  The  Living  Well  served  as  the  command  center  for  the  local  response  to  the  2014  flooding  in  Yates  County.  Food,  supplies  and  volunteers  were  deployed  from  the  center.  Jeff  applied  his  local,  national  and  international  mission  experience  in  the  response.

Jeff  brings  belief  to  life  as  he    shares  the  heritage  of  the  Methodist  Church  informed  by  ministry  and  mission  experience.

Please  Join  Jeff  and  others  for  this  exploration  of  the  beliefs  and  practices  of  the  United

Methodist  Church
