1.0 TITLE

Underground Earthing Works

2.0 SCOPE

This method is to describe the minimum requirements for earthing conductor installation in materials receiving, storing, and installation.

3.0 OBJECTIVE

This is to assure that the requirements of underground earthing installation works are meets the codes requirements and contract specifications. To make sure, the works are carried out in acceptable workmanship and follow the requirements of project.

4.0 REFERENCE

4.1 Applicable Manufacturers Recommendation 4.2 Contract Specifications and approved Construction Drawing 4.3 Standards, codes and recommended practices

5.0 RESPONSIBILITY

5.1 The Site Engineer at site shall be responsible for the planning scheduling and coordination, record and monitor progress of Underground earthing works. To guide the supervisors in the field in terms of engineering and technical problems.

6.0 WORK

6.1 GENERAL

1. The field installation, inspection and test of underground earthing shall be executed under the responsibility of contractor according to the relevant drawings and documents.

2. The work shall be done according to good workmanship and by using the

suitable tools and material as stated in the construction drawings, approve documents, and procedures and it shall be studied before carry out any electrical works.

3. Safety and Sanitation.

Full care and pre-caution shall be given by the field management for the safety and sanitation of workman in the field to prevent accidents during execution of the works.

6.2 GENERAL STEP OF CABLE GROUNDING INSTALLATION

1. Prepare the clamping tool :

To know C clamp already installed corectly, we must measure the difference end

of the C clamp before and after clamping proses.

2. Ensure excavation work in every building foundation already finish, and the

elevation of excavation appropriate with the design level

3. .Install Grounding cable in every building foundation, Installation start from

base excavation, and cable grounding must be touch with the soil.
