RESOURCES FOR LEADERS + FOR STUDY: • A Creative Minority (Excerpt attached; This excerpt is one example of the movement of the Spirit of God. One idea is to read the excerpt together as part of dreaming about what the Spirit could do in and through us.) QUESTIONS FOR CONVERSATION: • Of the four practices we have considered in this series (blessing, being a faithful presence, bearing witness, and serving), which one stands out to you and why? Do you as a group have any stories of God at work in you and through you in these practices? • What are the factors in your life (habits, questions, confusion, desire, fear, etc.) that hinder you in keeping in step with the Spirit? • What are the factors in your life (habits, questions, confusion, desire, fear, etc.) that help you keep in step with the Spirit? • What could the Spirit do in your neighborhood, workplace, zip code, and/or city? Really. Take some time to dream together about what the Spirit could do. EXPERIMENTS + PRACTICES: • As you continue to move forward with the other experiments and practices, consider praying this simple prayer each day for the next month: Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us. Melt us. Mold us. Fill us. Send us. Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us. Pray this for you, your children, your community, and the church.
