Hello to our residents, family members and friends of Legacy Vil-lage at Park Regen-cy. Can you believe that we are halfway through 2020? I sure
can’t! The first half of the year is not what I would have expected or hoped for, but I am believing for a healthy and peaceful second half of 2020.
As we enter the second half of the year, with it comes the hotter weather, so be sure you are hydrating appropriately by drinking several glasses of water a day. This will keep you from getting dehy-drated. And if you don’t necessarily love drinking “plain ol’ water”, maybe add some fruit to it. A nice slice of lemon will give it a little zip! Did you know you can also get your water through eating? Many fruits
and vegetables – such as cucumbers, celery, tomatoes, radishes, bell peppers, watermelon, strawberries and grapefruit – give us 20 to 30 percent of our needed water. So that’s great news!
In closing, my prayer for us all is that as we celebrate our Independence Day – the 4th of July – we see the positive in our great nation and hope for tomorrow. In the meantime,
“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face to-ward you and give you peace.”’ – Numbers 6:24-26
Sincerely,
Allen ChambersExecutive Director

Ms. Pearl Collins was born on a farm in Valdosta, Geor-gia on Christmas Eve in 1916. She was married to Henry Thomas Collins who died in 1965 and together they have three children, two daughters and one son.
She has lived in many differ-ent places including Germany, Japan, and Colorado due to her husband being in the military. Ms. Pearl worked as a manager in the Valdosta School system.
Some of her hobbies include oil and acrylic painting, crocheting, reading and music. She loves to raise butterflies from caterpillars and loves the outdoors. You can always find Ms. Pearl playing Bingo here at Legacy, one of our daily games that all residents en-joy. She loves to get out and walk around the build-ing with her daughter and always likes to be doing something.
We are so blessed to have Pearl as a part of our Leg-acy family!

Your today is con-nected to your to-morrow.
In Ecclesiastes 9:10 it says, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it give it with thy might.”
I want you to think about this statement today – in what you’re doing today – your occupation, whether you’re a minority, serving in whatever setting you are in, you may feel that what you’re doing may seem very insignificant, and yes, even unreward-ing, but it may be preparing you for some-thing God wants you to do in the future.
Remember the Bible declares in Psalms 37:23, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way!” Also, in Philippians 2:13 it says, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” Remember that whatever you do today, it is not in vain. Do it for the right reasons, because your steps are ordained by the Lord!
Finally, Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us, “To every-thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven!” Don’t forget that your today is connected to your tomorrow.
