MASOC – News Letter
Jubilee Convention Special
Dearly Beloved,
It is with immense pleasure that I am addressing you through this News Letter releasing in connection with our Jubilee Con-vention. In 2010 July we are conducting the Convention to mark the completion of 25 years of Archdiocesan Family Confer-ence. This is a time for thanksgiv-ing and gratitude. We are grate-ful to our loving Lord who brought us all to this great Coun-try and providing everything for a smooth life. We remember with gratitude all those who initiated our parishes to worship in our own Tradition and to protect our Faith.
The Malankara Archdiocese under the fatherly guidance of His Holiness the Patriarch has grown to a mature Archdiocese in the Holy Church. I am happy to invite you all to the Jubilee Convention which will be held in July 22- 25, 2010 in New Jersey. Mark your calendar well in advance to attend the Conven-tion and to share the joy of get-together when our entire families are coming together.
May God bless you,
+ Archbishop Theethose Yeldho
This Convention is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I strongly encourage you all to attend this historic event.
Respected Priests, Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Let me take this opportunity to invite you to the Silver Jubilee Convention of Malankara Arch-diocese at the Garden State Con-vention Center in Somerset, New Jersey to be held from July 22nd – July 25th, 2010. We hope the Jubilee Convention will be a blessing for all and that it may enable each one of you to approach our Lord more closely in worship and with gladness.
The Jubilee Convention Com-
mittee is making elaborate ar-rangements and we expect a turnout of over 2000 delegates from across 50 States in US and 10 provinces in Canada. As I write this note, we have over 250 families (approximately 800 dele-gates) signed up for the event and we need to step up our efforts to bring more delegates into this event. So, I strongly encourage those of you who have not yet registered to do so immediately. Now more than ever, we need your help, support and prayers for the Jubilee Convention.

It is with profound happiness that we are releasing the first edition of this news letter in connection with the Silver Jubilee Celebration of Malankara Archdio-cese. The main purpose of this monthly publication is to bring updates and details of the convention to pub-lic. A variety of interesting matters would add in fu-ture editions including regular updates from the di-ocesan leadership . As Thirumeni mentioned in His Eminence’s message, this is a time for thanksgiving and gratitude to our Almighty Lord who brought us all to this great land of freedom and opportunities and showering all blessings on our life journey. When we brush up our memory, we visualize many members of clergy and laity of the Archdiocese who put their self-less efforts , time and money to keep up our rich tradi-tion and good faith in this new world.

Message from the Publicity Coordinator
Small steps for a giant leap Our Lord Jesus Christ was the greatest communica-tor who ever lived. He communicated through small parables to the multitude; a language that was well understood by the kings and Pharisees (theologians) and the common men alike. If our destiny is to mature into God’s character and if this character is best seen in Jesus who took on the “form of a servant,” then, as we work out our own salvation in the realm of conflict and communication, our best choice of conversation is to emulate the form used by Christ. Our Archdiocese is in a rapid growth path and Jubi-lee convention is playing a significant role in bringing all the faithful together. And, the intent of the
MASOC News Letter is to be the effective media to communicate the happenings and bring them to your personal attention for further action. In this ‘twitter’ and instant messaging age, we would like to keep our stories and updates short and crisp to keep the attention span of our readers. These communications would be invitational, life-giving, and geared for growth for the individuals and the church. We look forward to your feedback to make the efforts more meaningful in the coming days.
