The Civil Engineering Study program at International Burch University is developed in according to EU and Bosnian Market needs. It is a study program that provides needed knowledge to ensure establishing direct communication with construction companies and biros in B&H and EU during the study years.

The multicultural academic team is combined of professors with worldwide engineering and academic experience, and young assistants that are involved deeply in B&H construction industry.

The study program has signed collaboration acts with international university and stakeholders, which offer the students a unique opportunity to gain experience in internationally renowned institutions and practices.

The Bachelor of Science (BSc) Program in Civil Engineering at IBU offers both theoretical and practical approach to civil engineering disciplines. The four-year study program, with total of 240 ECTS, offers better understanding of civil engineering scientific fields. Covering fields of Structural Engineering, Water and Environmental Engineering, and Infrastructure and Road Construction Engineering, the program is set to have two years of mutual courses, and two years of specialized courses, depending on the field that the student will choose. Students are encouraged to develop critical thinking skills which help them in the process of engineering analysis, preparation of main designs, and revision of construction projects. By using the latest civil engineering software in the design and analysis process combined with both theoretical and practical study cases, our students are developing skills that are required for employment, and enhancing their employment chances. In the final semester, students will perform individually a main design for a real project, and will be guided by experts from practice. This approach promotes the students into well-established engineers that are ready to get involved in the construction practice.
