Merrydale Manor is a bespoke wedding venue set in beautiful countryside and rolling parkland. It aims to be the most luxurious and stylish venue available in Cheshire.

Located in Over Peover, the Merrydale Estate is adjacent to Colshaw Hall but is set in its own grounds. It is available to hire on a completely exclusive basis, so you and your guests have the entire estate to yourselves.

The Manor House is the former home of Michael Irlam, Suzanne and their daughter Hattie and was extensively renovated in 2017. This stylish venue provides a bespoke function suite, contemporary bar and exquisite civil ceremony room, so you can tie the knot in style!

Located next to the Merrydale Suite, the Ceremony Room is a light, spacious and elegant place to say ‘I Do’.

It features oak beams, stone floors and large windows that let the light f lood in and provide stunning views of the lake. It really is the most picturesque spot to get married!

After your wedding, you and your guests can relax and enjoy refreshments in the beautiful grounds. It’s a chance to take in the manicured lawns and gardens which are the perfect backdrop to capture your memories with photographs.

Step through the arched oak doors and enter the bar, completely transformed from the former polo stables, providing a contemporary space to relax in before your wedding breakfast.

The Merrydale Suite is a jaw-dropping space for your wedding breakfast, built to the highest specif ication, with state-of-the-art AV facilities and climate control. Included in the function room hire is the use of banquet chairs, cloakrooms, bar and music license until 12:30 as well as free car parking and a wedding coordinator on hand throughout the day.

Large glass windows offer views to both sides over the formal gardens, courtyard and the lake beyond. The Merrydale Suite has been cleverly designed to offer optimum space for weddings of most sizes and provides ample room for a dance f loor and stage.

As you approach the grand entrance to the estate, you will see immediately how magnificent the grounds are.

Merrydale Manor has its own private Polo Club and HPA registered pitch, which has hosted some of the most prestigious Polo tournaments. You don’t have to be a fan of horses, but you cannot fail to be impressed by the sight!

As you drive further into the estate, you’ll pass the elegant Manor House on the left and the tranquil lake and lush green parkland to the right.

Because of its situation, Merrydale Manor has the most spectacular sunsets. We are one of the few wedding venues in Cheshire that has this so you may be lucky for your wedding photographs!

The Manor House offers four luxurious rooms including a stylish Bridal Suite. With a further ten Courtyard Rooms, Merrydale Manor can accommodate a total of 28 guests on the estate.

The morning after your wedding, you and your overnight guests can enjoy sitting in the spacious orangery area before being served a delicious continental and fully cooked English breakfast. For those taking the Manor House and/or courtyard rooms, a member of staff will be available at all times during their stay.

The Courtyard Rooms are a real treat for your bridal party. Each room has a bespoke, individual design which is inspired by the countryside. Will your guests choose ‘Le Renard’, ‘Le Faisan’ or maybe ‘Le Cheval’?

Each room is a unique and wonderful place to stay. There are ten beautifully presented, spacious courtyard double bedrooms that all have en-suite bathrooms with toiletries in addition to tea and coffee making facilities. Each room offers different views of the estate.

Every aspect of Merrydale Manor has been designed with our brides and grooms in mind, so we have no doubt that your special day will live up to your highest expectations.

The luxurious Bridal Suite is beautifully decorated and ideally located for newly-weds to enjoy on the night of the wedding. Like the rest of Merrydale Manor, it has been decorated by one of the best interior designers, with a subtle wedding theme and features a super-king sized bed with luxury linens, spacious seating, freestanding tub and walk in shower.

And because we like to go one step further, we have created a bespoke ‘makeup room’ for our brides. This area is the perfect space for brides and bridesmaids to get ready on the morning of the wedding and to freshen up throughout the day. With makeup stations and comfortable seating, you and your bridal party can prepare in style!

Here at Merrydale Manor, we have a selection of items known as our ‘finishing touches’. These items are completely optional but are very popular with our brides and grooms and can be the icing on the cake for your special day.

Wedding cars – You can arrive in style for your wedding and have the perfect backdrop for your pictures with our luxury wedding cars. Our uniformed chauffeur-driven cars can make your day extra special and give you that VIP experience.

The Rolls Royce Ghost provides an air of class to your wedding day and will be dressed with ribbons included in the cost.

Secure Postbox – Many couples opt for donations rather than presents, so it is important that the cards are kept safe so you don’t have to worry about them on the day.

Aisle Carpet – Ideal for the Civil Ceremony Room, a wide cream carpet that provides a luxury path for you and your partner to start your new chapter in life!

Garden Games – Perfect for keeping little ones (and big ones) entertained whilst your reception is in full f low. Choose from Giant Jenga, Giant Connect 4, Giant Limbo or choose all three!

Light up dance floor and selfie mirror – A selfie mirror can provide hours of entertainment for your guests and a light up dance floor can really give the Merrydale Suite the ultimate party atmosphere for the perfect evening.
