Meridian Kids in Kindergarten and Preschool are

part of the educational system of Meridian

International School.

Meridian International School has reserved a

separate part of the building for their needs with its

own entrance which is locked and only after

ringing the entrance bell are parents allowed to

enter the building.

Meridian Kids is intended for children of all nations

from 3 to 6 years of age. The Educational program

and all lessons are in the English language,

however, it is not required that a child be a native

speaker or that he comes with a knowledge of

English.

Meridian Primary School encompasses Grades 1-6.

The educational programme at this level uses the

experiences of Meridian Pre-school and

Kindergarten to go more deeply into concepts

and abilities while also introducing new materials

which broaden the student`s education. Although

attendance at MIS Pre-school or Kindergarten is

not necessary, those programmes serve as a

starting point which is consistent to the child`s

educational formation.

Science

Science is a foundational

programme in any

academic institution.

At Meridian, General

Science, Biology, Chemistry

and Physics are mandatory

subjects within the Meridian

curriculum.

Physical Education (PE) gives the students an

experience of organized sport. Through this

subject, students learn the value of teamwork and

cooperation and well as the proper way to play

various physical activities while also having fun!

Art stems from very depths of the human person. It

is a gateway to human expression. Meridian

International School values this aspect of humanity

MIS was honored to have members of the Czech

Ministry of Education visit us. The members of the

Ministry seemed to be quite impressed with our

programme. Not long after the visit, the Ministry

renewed our accreditation as a viable school

within the Czech Republic.

MIS believes that competition can be a healthy

The annual Science Fair is a showcase for MIS.

Students in the Science and Maths classes, under

the direction of the science and maths teachers,

prepare and demonstrate a variety of fascinating

experiments in the world of science and

mathematics. Since this activity is offered to the

general public, members of the teaching staff

Meridian International School is proud of the fact

MIS offers a yearly opportunity to the student body to go on a ski trip. This optional activity can introduce the beginner to the techniques of this time honored sport and allows students who are more familiar an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature in snow.

Nature is a valued part of the European psyche.

At the end of each school year, MIS provides the

student body with an experience to be

surrounded by nature and foster activities

We are extremely proud when our students attain

the final goal of Meridian International School -

Graduation. This ritual expresses our belief that a

student has satisfactorily achieved all the

necessary skills to function in the ``outside`` world.

The integrated education is celebrated when a

student receives the Meridian diplomas, a

certification that he or she has reached a

standard of success.

This is a time for special celebration. The last day of

the school year brings all aspects of the school

together to celebrate the achievements which

have been made. The awarding of diploma is

supplemented with our annual International Food

Festival - again opportunity for each member of

the school community to

appreciate and revel in a

diversity which unites us all.
