This application offers information on hundreds of diseases, medications and medical terms. With this application the user can search through quickly to educate themselves on theses topics. Whether its a diagnosis or a medication the user is able to quickly use Mercks Manual as a reference. The information is constantly being updated which allows the user to find up-to-date information that is reliable (Mercks Manual, 2015). 4

The application is quick and easy to navigate. When you open the app you are brought to a screen that allows you to choose from Topics, Sections, Symptoms, and Multimedia. Once in the topic section you can utilize the search bar to skip to the topic you are looking for. When you find the information you are looking for you can hit the star at the bottom and bookmark the information into your favorites so you can easily reference it in the future. The application is available in ten different languages. The information is easy to read and understand for people of all backgrounds. Inside the text they offer links to topics the user may not be familiar with. 5

The application offers a wealth of information on so many diseases and medications making it very useful for a nurse working in any field. It was easy to navigate and find information. One limitation is that the application must be purchased to access the information. The application is available in many different forms from a basic at home version to professional version and ranges from $10 to $80. One concern is that, even though the information is constantly being updated, there are constant changes in information due to research, clinical experience, opposing opinions, human error and not all clinical situations are the same Information is intended to be advice and should not take the place of discussion with a medical professional (Mercks Manual, 2015). I would definitely recommend the application because it quickly allows the user to educate themselves. I find it very useful in my field when constantly facing patients with syndromes, diseases, and medications I am unfamiliar with. 7
