Hello, I’m Gwen Gnazdowsky, Owner of One Conversation Coaching & Facilitation. I want to offer my services to you and your organizations.

I empower people to resolve issues and achieve Personal, Professional & Relationship Goals.... One Conversation at a time! I do this through Transformational Conversations, Life Skills Coaching, Teaching Communication & Public Speaking and Leadership/Mentor Programming for Individuals, Couples, Families, Businesses and Organizations.

• I teach Public Speaking & Communication Courses: at Vancouver School Board/Langara College• I lead Empowerment Programming for groups including the YWCA. • I am the National Mentorship Program Advisor & Coordinator for Women in Leadership Foundation. • I draw on my background in Social Work and Life Skills Coaching in the Criminal Justice System and in

Social Services. My work included people in crisis, youth at risk, young and adult offenders and their families. I have a Social Service’s Diploma from Mount Royal University and am a Certified Life Skills Coach from Grant McEwen University.

How I can help you, your family or your organization? Let’s have a Conversation...

Intention:• Be able to pitch yourself in any

environment, whether that be an elevator, a networking opportunity

or in an interview

• To be able to answer: Tell Me About Yourself… What Do You Do?

• To ask for what you want: opportunities, jobs, mentorship, internship, contacts, etc.

5 C’s:

CONFIDENCE – Many people get this

backwards. Most think once they are confident, they will put themselves out there. However, confidence only comes

from experience. The more you Market and Pitch yourself, the more comfortable and confident you will get.

COMMUNICATION – Body language

affects how others see us, but it may also

change how we see ourselves. Social psychologist Amy Cuddy shows how “power posing”– standing in a posture of

confidence, (even when we don’t feel confident) – can affect testosterone and cortisol levels in the brain, and might even have an impact on our success.

We make sweeping judgments and inferences from body language. Then, those judgments can predict meaningful

life outcomes like who we hire, promote or even who we ask out on a date!

CLARITY – Be sure of what you want

and ask for it. Don’t be afraid to be clear.

CONTENT – What Should I Say?

Simon Sinek explores how leaders can inspire cooperation, trust and change. He

is the author of, "Start With Why." He asserts that all the great and inspiring leaders and organizations in the world,

whether it's Apple or Martin Luther King, all think, act & communicate the same way, the complete opposite to everyone else, which he calls The Golden Circle:

Why? How? What? To get to your WHY ask yourself: What's your purpose? What's your cause? What's your belief?

What’s your passion? Why do you get out of bed in the morning? Sinek said Martin Luther King, who led the Civil Rights

Movement gave the "I have a dream" speech, not "I have a plan" speech.

Then add the 3 Differentiators, that show that you are qualified to do what you are

asking for.

Call to Action. Ask for an information

interview, a job or to submit a resume. Good Luck! Practice makes Permanent!

‘Idea Party’ Brainstorm Bees

This ‘Idea Party’ came from Barbara Sher, author of "Wishcraft - I could Do Anything If Only I Knew What Is Was, offers solutions and incredibly creative ways to get to answers. The synchronicity and contacts made during these brainstorming sessions are phenomenal and often truly change lives. It is ideal for CEO's, Entrepreneurs, Businesspeople, Career Seekers, People in transition, Stay at home moms, Sales Professionals, Students, etc..

1. Find Good People. Each time that you meet someone you'd like to know better, give that person your name and phone number and invite them to your Idea Party. Just say, "I'm having an Idea Party. Want to come?" and you'll get surprisingly positive results. You can have as many as 15 or 20 people at this party, and the more varied their backgrounds, the better. NEVER PERSUADE ANYONE TO COME. You only want people who want to be there. That usually screens out the "show-me" types, who don't make the best brainstormers.

2. Prepare! "Here is my wish:________, & here is My obstacle:_______. You may want to brainstorm:! • How to connect with people such as get a great mentor, informational interviews or network opportunities" • How to start a company, improve marketing or increase business" • How to get into certain occupations, networks, associations or workplaces" • How to create a product such as a seminar series, a CD, radio show, or write a book" • How to develop skills such as becoming a speaker, leadership, communication skills, conflict resolution or courses " • How to become more creative, such as writing, playing a musical instrument, paint or dance

3. Begin the Brainstorming Have pads of paper and pencils available. One by one, each person can ask for some help with brainstorming (or feel free to pass if they choose). Each speaker should present only one wish and one major obstacle. Explain as little as possible, so there's plenty of time to get suggestions. Each person gets 5 minutes unless there are fewer than 6 people, then they get 10 minutes. You want to keep the pace snappy.

3. Timekeeper's Tips Don't worry if there doesn't seem to be enough time; everyone can talk after the brainstorming . Use a timer, one that makes a loud "Ding!" when the time is up. You don't want to be the bad guy who stops people from talking. BUT IF EVERYBODY TAKES TOO MUCH TIME, SOMEONE WON'T GET THEIR CHANCE.

4. Throw Another Idea Party in a Month - and Watch Your Life Get Better. At every Idea Party, you'll meet new people. Idea Parties are a sensational way to get to know the best people in town, and a warm and stimulating way to do some first class networking. Never underestimate the difference it can make in your life to meet someone who can hand you a piece to your puzzle. You could find out something that changes your life in this best and oldest way of socializing.

8. Isolation is the dream killer. You don't need a positive attitude or self-confidence to make your dreams come true. You need connections who want to see you get your dreams. With that support, your world will turn around.

"HERE IS MY WISH:________, & HERE IS MY OBSTACLE:_______."
