Mental Health aur Islam- Har insaan apne zindagi ke kisi na kisi mouqe par kisi na kisi tarha ke zehni aur jazbaati pareshaniyo se guzartey hain. Hamaare aas paas ke bahot se log zehni sehat ke masail jese Depression, Anxiety, PTSD [Post traumatic stress disorder], Stress etc mai mubtala hai. Iski wajah ek shaqs se dusre shaqs mai mukhtalif ho sakti hai. Hum jis muashrey mai rehtey hain wo humien apne jazbaat ke baare mai baat karney nahi dete aur bahot se log issey nazar andaaz kartay hain. Agar hum, hamari zehni masail ko nazarandaaz karien toh iske bure affect hum par ho sakta hai.

Mental health ke laazmi taur par jismaani sehat ki tarha symptoms zaahir nahi hotey hai toh log sochtey hai keh agar wo usey nahi dekh saktey hai toh zaruri nahi ke koi problem moujood ho.

Hamare muashrey mai kisi cheez par yaqeen karnay ke liye log cheezon ko ‘’dekhna” chahtay hain. Aur dilchasp baat toh yeh hai ke hamara poora Imaan ghaib par hai. Lekin bad-qismati sey mental health ke muamley mai hum, logon ko yeh samjhaney ke liye aur iski taleem dene mai bahot peche hain. Yeh asal masla hai aur waqay mai logo ko madad ki zarurat hai. Jab kisi ko bukhar ajaye toh hum fouran baghair do baar soche samjhey hospital chale jaatey hain. Yeh hum sab ke liye common ho gaya hain jab keh mental health ki madad ke liye humien bahot si ghalat fehmiya hain.

Humien Mental Health ke field mai Islam lana zaroori nahi hai!

Haqeeqat- Islam sirf ek aqeedah nahi, yeh ek mukammil zindagi ka tareeqa hai. Iss mai Siyaasi, Muaashi, Jazbaati, rohani aur zindagi ke nafsiyati pehlu shaamil hai. Hamara dil, dimaag aur jism hamare liye Allah (SWT) ka tohfa hai. Phir bhi isse sabse zyada nazar-andaaz kiya jaata hai.

Mental health ke masaail kam Imaan aur kirdaar mai kharabiyo ki wajah se ho sakta hai.

Haqeeqat- Mental health ka kamzoor honay se koi lena dena nahi hai aur bahot se logo ko behtar hone mai madad ki zaroorat hoti hai. Islami taur par hum yaqeen rakhtey hain keh sab kuch Allah (swt) ki taraf se hai lehaaza, hum ghamgeen aur pareshan kese ho sakte hain?

Agar hum iss tarha se dekhne lagien, toh humien apne masail ko hal karney ki zaroorat mehsoos nahi hogi. Lekin, Allah(swt) ne Quran mai farmaya – “Pas tum pooch lo (Ahle zikr se) agar ho tum nahi jaante.” [21:7 and 16:43]

Yeh ek maghribi field hai.

se Mohammed bin Zakary AL-Razi zehni amraaz aur nafsiyaati ilaaj par likhne waale duniya mai pehle logo mai se thay. Aur Abu Zaid Al-Balkhi ne mental health issues aur ussey diagnose karne ke tareeqe aur uss ke ilaaj jo keh aaj ke latest edition DSM (Diagnostic and statistical manual for mental disorders, used by psychologists) se poori tarha milti hai. Lehaza, jab musalman kehte hai keh dimaagi sehat ka yeh field hamare liye kaam nahi karta hai, toh yeh ghalat hai. Yeh hamare warse ka ek hissa tha.

Dimaagi sehat (Mental Health) se mutaaliq baat nahi ki jaani chahiye aur ye waqt ke saath door hojaygi.

Haqeeqat: Bahot sari baar, inn do cheezon mai se ek cheez hoti hai, ya toh hum isse nazar andaaz karna pasand karte hai ya sochte hai keh yeh sirf ek marhala hai aur yeh guzar jayga.

Yaha ek misaal yeh hai keh- ek din Rasool (SAW) masjid mai daakhil hue aur waha ek ansaari shaqs Abu Umamah ko dekha. Nabi (SAW) ne pucha: Aye Abu Umamah, Aap iss waqt masjid mai Q bethe hue hai joh namaz ka waqt bhi nahi hai? Unhone jawaab diya mujhe pareshani aur qarz ki wajah se aisa karne par majboor kiya gaya. Phir Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne pucha: Kya mai tumhe ek aisi dua sikhaou jis ke zariye se Allah aap ki pareshaani door kare aur tumhare qarz ada kare? Unhone jawaab diya: Haan Aye Allah ke Rasool! Phir Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya: Har subha aur sham kaho: Allahumma inni a’udhu bikka minal-hammi wal hazan, wa a’udhu bika minal-‘ajzi wal-kasal wa a’udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhul wa a’udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayn wa qahrir-rijal.’ [Abu Dawud]

[Meaning: Aye Allah! Beshak mai fikar wa ghum, Ajazi wa susti pzdili wa bukhl, qarz ke bojh aur logon ke ghalbe se teeri panah chahta hun.]

Hum yaha dekh sakte hai ke Nabi akram (SAW) ne unhe pareshani se hal diya aur apse imaan badhane ko nahi kaha. Lehaza hum muslamano, ko iss sunnat ko zinda rakhne ki zaroorat hai. Humien jaldi madad aur madad lene mai sharam mehsoos nahi karna chahye. Waqt guzarne ke saath agar hum uske baare mai baat nahi karte hai toh yeh mental issues hamare sochne se kahi ziyada nuksaan pohcha sakta hai.

Mental health professionals jaan-boojh kar kisi tarha ke disorder hum par label kar denge.

Haqeeqat mai koi bhi psychologist ya Mental health ya physical health professional aap ke sath aisa nahi karenge. Ye inke aqlaaq ke khilaf hai.

Counseling ya mental health professional ke yaha wohi jaata hai jisse kisi tarha ki zehni bimari ho.

Haqeeqat: Yeh sach hai keh kuch log jinhe kisi tarha ki zehni pareshani hai wo counselors ke yaha jaate hai apne symptoms manage karne. Lekin, counselors logon ko unke roz marah ke masail jese ghum, pareshani, family issues mai bhi madad kartey hain.

Sirf ‘kam aqal’ afraad therapy ke liye jaate hai.

Haqeeqat: Jis tarha se log bimaar na hone par bhi doctors ke advice lete hai, checkups, tests ya mashwara chahte hai, theek usi tarha therapy khaas tour par zehni bimaari waale logo ke liye nahi hai. Therapists/ counselors apke masail ko hal karne aur khush-haal zindagi guzarne ka tareeqa sikhate hain.

Q1) Zehni bimari hone ka kya matlab hai?

A1) Zehni bimariyan sehat ki aisi halat hai jo insaan ke khayalaat, Jazbaat, rishte aur roz-marah ke kaam ko affect krti hai. Wo aksar ghabrahat, udaasi, pareshani se waabasta hotay hain aur aam tour par roz-marrah ke kaamo ko pura karne mai mushkil mehsoos kartay hai. Zehni bimari kuch ki halki hoti hai aur zindagi ke kuch shoubon par iska thoda asar padhta hai. Aur kuch ki shadeed ho sakti hai aur roz-marrah ki zindagi par iss ke badey asraat padsakte hain.

Q2) Kya zehni bimariyon ki koi wajah hoti hai?

Zehni bimaari ki koi khaas wajah nahi hai. Lekin tehqeeq genetics/ biological, nafsiyaati aur mahool ki taraf isharah karti hai jo zyadatar iss halaat ki wajah hai.

Q3) Kya dimaaghi masail wale log theek ho sakte hai?

Dimaghi sehat ki halat mai zyadatar afraad ilaaj mai hissa le kar apne alamaat (symptoms) se raahat haasil kar sakte hain. Ilaaj mai dawaien ya nafsiyaati ilaaj aur humkhayal sathi, group shaamil ho sakte hai. Mukhtalif dimaaghi pareshaniyo ke ilaaj mukhtalif hote hai. Lehaza, Counselor ya Mental health professional se baat karna zaroori hai. Achi ghiza, warzish, aur neend zehni sehat par bahot bada asar daalta hai. Jald ilaaj recovery ke liye aham hai.

Q4) Kya kisi imam ya deeni alim se mashuara karna kisi ki zehni bimariyo ya zaati challenges se nipatne ke liye kaafi hai?

Zyadatar imaamo ko zehni sehat ya dimaagi sehat mai zyada training nahi hoti hai. Bahot saare muslaman imaamo se mashuara ya madad hasil karte hai lekin imam aur zehni sehat ke practitioner ke beech farq hota hai.

Q5) Zehni bimari ya mental issues se nipatne Islam aur counseling ka kya role hai?

Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya Islam naseeha hai. [Muslim]

Aam tour par, Counseling ka matlab mashwara hai. Allah (swt) ne tamaam Ambiya akraam ko tareekh mai insaano ke liye bheja hai aur unki rehnumayi, naseehat aur madad karne aye they. Quraan paak mai bayaan hua hai ke Hood (AS) ne farmaya: “Mai pohchata hoon tumhe paighamaat apne Rab ke aur mai tumhare liye khairkhwah hoon, ameen hoon.” [Quran 7:68]

Counseling, mushkil zindagi ke halaat jese kisi azeez ka guzar jana, marital masail, depression, ghabrahat wagairah jesi pareshaniyo ko hal karne mai help karti hai.

[NOTE- Wese counseling aur mashwara k ek jese meaning hai, lekin counsel zyada formal surat-haal ke liye istemaal hota hai. Counseling ek certified shaqs ke instructions hote hai jo ke aap ko koi particular situations aur problems ko sambhalne aur behtareen nateejeh hasil karne mai madad kartey hain. Lehaza, yeh zaroori hai keh kisi experienced ya licensed therapist / Psychologist se counseling karwaye.]

Q6) Humien apni zehni sehat ke liye koun si cheezon ka khayaal rakhna chahye?

1) Proper neend lena- Allah (SWT) ne farmaya ke isne raat ko araam ke liye paida kiya. Anas Bin Malik (RA) se riwayat hai ke : ek baar Nabi (SAW) masjid mai dakhil hue toh dekha ki iske dono sutoono ke darmyaan ek rassi latak rahi hai, isne kaha ye rassi kya hai? Logo ne kaha ye Zainab (RA) ke liye hai. Jab isse thakawat mehsoos hoti hai toh (namaz ke liye khade hone usse) thaam leti hain. Rasool Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: Isse istemaal mat karo. Rassi ko hata do. Aap namaz padhien jab tak keh aap active mehsoos karien, aur jab aap thak jayien to beth jayien. [Sahih al-Bukhari 1150 – Saheeh] Humien qayaam ke liye apni neend se mehroom karne ki ijazat nahi hai phir kya cheez humien Netflix dekhne ke liye neend se mehroom karti hai? Hum raat ko munaasib neend na lene ke nukhsanaat ko nahi samajhte hain.

2. Apne dimaag ke liye sehat mand giza aur nutritious giza lien: Aur wo fatty acids- jese fish (omega3) avocado, beef, Barley wagerah. Nuts aur seeds: Flax seeds, phalliya, hari sabziya, blueberries apke dimag ke liye ache hain.

3. Support system ka hona: Support khandaan, doston aur padosiyo se aa sakti hai. Anas Bin Malik ne bayan kiya keh ager Paighambar (saw) 3 din tak kisi ko nahi dekh paye toh wo puch lete they, keh wo insaan kaha hai. Isiliye khandaan rishte aur padosiyo ke Haqooq ki ehmiyat Quran aur Sunnat mai di gayi hai.

4. Warzish: Tehqeeq (research) se pata chala hai keh warzish stress ko door karne mai hamari madad karti hai aur jismani aur zehni taakhat ko badhati hai. Yeh ek khudrati aur effective anti-depressant hai.

Aishah (RA) ne Nabi ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص se doudh lagayi thi. [Sahih Bukhari]

Q7) Stress ko kam karne ke liye asaan tareeqe kya hai?

Araam: Araam karne ke liye waqt nikaalien. Humien apne dimaag ko araam dena chahiye jese keh hum apne jism ko araam dete hai. Dusro ki taraf zimmedari aur apni zimmedaari ko balance mai rakhien. Yeh waqiy aap ki pareshaniyo ko kam kar sakti hai. Deep breathing: Gehri saans lena ek saada araam ki technique hai. Yeh seekhna asaan hai, kahi bhi iss par amal kiya jaa sakta hai. Aur aapke stress ko kam karne ka ek quick tareeqa hai. Jab aap stress mehsoos karein toh, 5-10 minutes tak iski koshish karien:

1) 5 seconds ke liye apni naak se saan lien. 2) Apni saans ko 3sec ke liye thaamey, phir 7 second mai

aahesta aahesta apne munh se saans nikalien.

Ise likhien: Apki zindagi mai negative cheezien ko manage aur kam karne ka ek bahot asaan tareeqa yeh hai keh hum apni barkatien likhien. Isse positive soch badhti hai joh stress ko kam karne ke liye zaroori hai. Nabi (SAW) ne ek baar kaha: Momin ka andaaz hairat angez hai kyun keh iss ke liye har maamle mai bhalayi hai aur momin ke alaawa kisi ke saath bhi aisa nahi hai. Agar wo khush ho toh who Allah ka shukar ada karta hai aur iss tarha uss ke liye bhalayi hai. Agar isse takleef pohchti hai to woh sabar ka muzaherah karta hai aur iss tarha iss ke liye bhalayi hai. Qudrat mai waqt guzarna: Qudrat ke jismaani, zehni aur roohani fayde par scientific evidences badhte jaa rahe hai. Quran mai Allah (SWT) ne humien iski taqleel par ghour wa fikr karne ki dawat di hai.

“Aur wahi hai jisne bichayi zameen aur banaye usme se mazboot pahaad aur nehrien aur har qism ke phal banaye iss mai jodey do do, wo dhaanpta hai raat se din ko blaashaba iss mai albata nishaniyan hai inn logo ke liye jo ghour wa fikr kartey hain. [Quran 13:3]

hai, jisse endorphins kehte hai. Endorphines ghum aur udaasi ko kam karne mai ahem role ada karta hai. Muskurane ki sabse badi wajah yeh hai ke yeh hamare Nabi (SAW) ki sunnat hai. Hamare Nabi (SAW) ka muskurata chehra tha aur humien muskuraate hue chehre aur ache aqlaaq se apne mehmaan ko entertain karne ka mashwara diya gaya. Muskurana saqah hai!
