Descendant of Thieves offers innovative, unexpected, yet

functional designed clothing. Items are tailored in slim fits for

fashion conscious men, who want to look good and subtly

differentiate themselves... Be the needle, not the haystack.

Unlike others, it is designed with love from the inside out with

limited editions that list # made per style

If Ralph Lauren had an illegitimate son it would be us… preppy blood with a nonconformist attitude… Or if Brooks brothers went bad… Crooks Brothers

What is Descendant of Thieves?

DOT = (Traditional clothes – DAD) X eccentric young artist

Descendant of Thieves is designed by the pseudonymous Dres Ladro. -Ladro- translated from Italian means thief. This is the inspiration for the name, Descendant of Thieves.

Dres Ladro designs, constructs, and only wears his own clothing, so as to never be seen wearing the same thing as anyone else. True to this limited edition philosophy, no more than 500 units are cut per style (see care label for No).

An illegitimate art exhibition:

The location of Dres Ladro’s art exhibition was on the 5th floor of an abandoned building in Berlin’s Mitte neighborhood. Due to the absence of electricity, this event, which had undertones of an old-world secret society soirée, was intensely lit by candles only. Upon entering the expansive 12-room Victorian suite, every individual was required to wear a suggestively seductive black harlequin eye mask. The obscure brilliance to his art was that it was directly painted on to the walls so that after the exhibition, it would be suitably abandoned just as the building was.

Dres stood out with his unique attire. After a brief conversation about starting a business, he made it clear that he designs only for himself so that he never walks into a room with someone else wearing the same thing. He had no interest in selling his designs. He put exclusivity to the forefront and returned to the root of his passion: designing limited edition clothes for himself alone. Eventually, he agreed to embark on Descendant of Thieves, but only after setting strict conditions. One of them includes producing very limited runs per style so others can share in the distinct pleasure of feeling unique. The other condition was that he wanted

His-Story

Page 5: Mens Shirts - Descendant of Thieves

Dres Ladro insists on maintaining a lofty measure of anonymity. The name, Dres

Ladro is his Nom de Plume. As Mark Twain is to Samuel Clemmons, Dres Ladro

is to the designer.

As a youth the designer would sneak into his father’s closet to steal shirts. He would de-seam them, utilize the base fabric, and re-engineer the entire garment.

After some time his father realized that they were his shirts and with utter

discontent began calling him, “Ladro”. The moniker stuck and even his close core of friends began calling him Ladro.

When we started this project one of his conditions was that he would remain

anonymous. He decided to design under the name Ladro because it was the very

name he was given when first tasting the art of designing clothes.

“Everyone single person has alternative versions of themselves somewhere inside of them, I have given mine a name and let it loose in the world.”-Dres Ladro

The logo is an ink DOT and is the acronym for, Descendant of Thieves.

Not by chance, the logo is also in the shape of a genealogy [family] tree. This illustrates how the name Ladro inspired the name Descendant of Thieves.

Values

Who is the Customer? He is the professional, the entrepreneur, and the creative that works in a less formal

setting. It’s not about age, it’s about attitude. He is fashion savvy, early adopter that

places a high importance on being individual. He stands apart from the crowd without

looking forced. He is effortlessly stylish rather someone who is desperately seeking

attention. He likes the details in his clothing to be thoughtfully functional and utilitarian

rather than frivolous and ostentatious. He pays attention to design not just in clothing but

also architecture, interior and industrial design. He cares about his appearance in terms

of fashion as well as his personal physical upkeep.

There is no "costume change”... He goes directly from work to drinks while looking

perfectly stylish and fitting in each setting. He'll wear it washed and wrinkled for an

naturally cool style or pressed for a sophisticated flawless look.

He is not dumb enough

He is not dumb enough to be fooled by the marketing ploys of other brands using sex,

celebrity, and false aspiration. He simply wants a nice f&%ing shirt. But just in case…

Why cover the face of model - Sometimes it should just be about the clothes. It’s really

not that bizarre. When is the last time you saw a mannequin with eyes.

- It’s a point of reflection… You can see yourself in the clothing.

- Inspired by an unseen designer. And perhaps they are right, it does add a bit of mystery.

Design Philosophy.

Look at each model and define what makes it

different than any other model out there.

Why is it better than our competitors.

Why is it better than our last version of it.

Then tell the customers why it is better (website, pocket cards, ect.)

What makes each style different

Page 16: Mens Shirts - Descendant of Thieves

In ALL aspects of the business

-product design, hang tags, hidden pockets, hidden messages.

-Marketing… Give them the unexpected.

-Unexpected Giveaways for online customers

-Unexpected Giveaways to retail customers

Element of Surprise

Page 17: Mens Shirts - Descendant of Thieves

-The law of averages. Figure what everyone else is

doing and then do the opposite.

-Using this, we have a better chance of success. Most brands look at what other brands are doing and copy

them. This creates a closed circle with everyone doing the same thing.

-Draw outside the lines.

ANTI CONFORMIST Law of Averages

1. Designed from the inside out. Our design process starts from the inside. Most ignore the interior and focus on façade. Clothes are like a house, passer byes see the outside of it but you live on the inside. Our design philosophy allows for the following: Forces us to pay relentless attention to every millimeter of the product. Not only do we over-obsess on fit but also on the highly functional engineered details (w/ some patent pending). The architecture of your home has to functionally work... Ex: A facet with no plumbing is like the sleeve button hole of a jacket that doesn’t work. (I’ll pause for those of you wearing jackets to check your plumbing)

It allows for our Quiet details, which are more conspicuous and often found on the inside including Blazing yellow finished seams, concealed pockets and hidden messaging. They are designed to offer uniqueness that is also very understandable. (Investor Story here)

Designed from the inside out = Love. Love is a very personal experience and this single philosophy adds an extremely personal touch to everything we make… Make Love, Not Clothes. (Ralph
