    Notes: Amherst sophomore midfielder Dan Dourth (Allendale, N.J.) posted three goaand an assist in a 1-1 week for the Lord Jeffs. He scored a goal in Amhersts 7-5 victory ove

    Williams on Saturday...Batesjunior attacker Luke Charest (Freeport, Maine) scored two goal

    and dished out three assists in an 0-2 week for the Bobcats. Charest now has 17 assists so fa

    this season, the most for any Bates player since 2002, when Dave Frederick had 21 and Jac

    Sandler totalled 18...Colby freshman midfielder Derrik Flahive (Littleton, Colo.) had six goa

    - including the game-winner against Wesleyan on Saturday - and two assists in a 1-1 week fo

    the Mules, as he accumulated points on half of Colbys goals in each game. Against the Card

    nals, Flahive had three, breaking a 4-4 tie with 3:28 to go in the contest with the final two tallie

    of the match for a 6-4 victory...Connecticut Collegejunior midfielder Eric Doran (Penningto

    N.J.) collected three goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the undefeated Camels. Doratallied the game-winning goal with just 1:10 remaining in a 7-6 win at Williams on Wednesday

    Bates, while Brendan Schrader was 13-for-19 in face-offs against the Bobcats...Middlebury

    Pete Smith (Wilton, Conn.) had two goals and three assists in a 14-6 win over Amherst o

    Wednesday...Trinitysophomore goalkeeper Peter Johnson (Riverside, Conn.) recorded an .86

    save percentage and scooped seven ground balls in an 0-2 week for the Bantams...Wesleya

    freshman goalkeeper Mark Simmons (East Hampton, N.Y.) made 17 stops in an 8-3 win ove

    Trinity last week, shutting out the Bantams in the first half with nine saves. He finished the wee

    with a 4.50 goals against average and a .735 save percentage...Williams senior goalkeepe

    Stephen Vrla (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) had a .641 save percentage and a 7.00 goals agains

    average during an 0-2 week for the Ephs. He finished the week making 25 stops.

    Mens Lacrosse Co-Players of the Week

    Russell Halliday, Bowdoin(Junior, Attacker - Sudbury, Mass.)

    Halliday racked up six goals and three as-

    sists over two games last week, as the Polar

    Bears earned two critical NESCAC victories.

    On Wednesday against rival Colby, Hal-

    liday led the Bowdoin offense in an 11-10

    come-from behind victory, tallying five goals

    and an assist. He added a team-high three

    points with a goal and two assists in the

    Polar Bears first win at Middlebury since

    1993 on Saturday, 11-6.

    Steven Foglietta, Tufts(Soph., Goalkeeper - Oceanside, N.Y.)

    Foglietta recorded a 3.41 goals against averag

    and a .778 save percentage (21-for-27) durin

    a 2-0 week that kept the undefeated Jumbo

    tied with Connecticut College for first place

    the NESCAC. On Tuesday at Bates, Fogliett

    entered the contest late in the first quarter wit

    his team down 5-3 and proceeded to stop 1

    of the next 11 shots in an eventual 12-6 win

    Foglietta got the start against Trinity on Satu

    day, making 11 saves in a 9-5 victory.
