    Notes: Amherst sophomore goalkeeper Sam Jakimo (Woodburym, N.Y.) averaged 13.saves per game during a 2-0 week for the Lord Jeffs. In an 11-10 win over Wheaton o

    Wednesday, Jakimo had 14 saves for the second-straight game. He made 12 stops in

    13-7 win at Bates on Saturday. Since Jakimos return to the lineup, Amherst is 3-0. Jakim

    has an 8.33 goals against average and a .615 save percentage...Bates senior attacker Nic

    Sampson (Yarmouth, Maine) led the Bobcats during a split week with six goals and an assis

    He added eight ground balls and caused two turnovers...Bowdoins Kit Smith (Brunswic

    Maine) netted three goals and an assist in a 9-7, mid-week win over Springfield...Colb

    freshman midfielder Ian Deveau (Portsmouth, R.I.) collected four points with two goal an

    two assists in the Mules 9-8 win over Middlebury. Deveaus second goal of the game jus

    over a minute into the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winner. He now has three o

    scored five goals and collected five ground balls in a 1-1 week for the Bantams. Culle

    Hessler (Monkton, Md.) scored five goals with eight assists for 13 points in a 2-0 wee

    for the Jumbos. Hessler had three goals and four assists in a 14-11 win at Wesleyan o

    Saturday, picking up a goal and an assist during a five-goal Jumbo run that turned a 7-7 t

    into a 12-7 advantage...Wesleyan senior midfielder Lonny Blumenthal (Ballwin, Mo.) tallie

    three goals for the Cardinals in their lone game last week, a 14-11 setback to Tufts. Junio

    Steve Dachille, Connecticut College(Senior, Attacker - Garden City, N.Y.)

    Dachille tallied five times in both of the Camels one-goal victories last week, a

    Connecticut College improved to 8-0 on the season and 4-0 in NESCAC play. O

    Tuesday at Keene St., Dachille recorded the 100th goal of his career in a 12-11 wi

    over the Owls. He posted his second five-goal performance of the week Saturda

    afternoon at Bowdoin, including the game-winner in overtime as the Camels erase

    a five-goal halftime deficit to earn an 8-7 decision over the Polar Bears.
