TIGERS ‘BOUNDING THE BOARDS IN2012-13 • A lot of talk in head coach Josh Pastner’sfirst

three seasons centered about rebounding and the Tigers’ frustration in that area.

• It looks as if that’s been corrected this season.

Page 7: Memphis Men's Basketball Game Notes vs Marshall - Jan. 26, 2013

• Memphis is out-rebounding its opponents by an average margin of +5.6 boards per game (36.7-31.1), which is second in Conference USA.

• In C-USA games only (four contests), the Ti-gers’ rebound margin is a whopping +11.3 boards per game (38.8-27.5).

• The Tigers have won the board battle 12 times this season, including games with Minnesota, Ohio, Louisville and Harvard.

• It is the second time this season Memphis post-ed double-doubles in consecutive games.

WE’LL BE JOINING YOU SOON • Marshall is ranked among the top-10 schools in

the nation in 1,000-point scorers with 49 in its history. The Thundering Herd are tied for eighth on that list.

• Well, Memphis can move on that top-10 list when Joe Jackson reaches 1,000 points this season.
