Commemorating the universal day of the child, it must be remembered that 50% of the population in the refugee camps are chil-dren, 50 million people. At the same time, the ACNUR “face to face” team used virtual classes to show us what a real refugee camp is like for 3 minutes. And finally, throughout the week a “put on your shoes” exhibition was given by ACNUR.

COLLABORATION WITH SUPLITUR IN ITS “MAKE A DREAM COME TRUE” CAMPAIGN.

For several years, the Europamundo Foundation has worked with two of the representatives of Eu-ropa Mundo in the Dominican Republic, Suplitur and Domitur.

As socially committed companies, they have undertaken welfare actions for society, working in con-junction with local authorities, collaborators, customers and companies wishing to cooperate in this work. They voluntarily want to give solutions to the social problems in their country.

Last year, in June, Suplitur organised a “happy day” in the facilities of Ocean World and the Trampo-line Museum for 88 children from the Divina Providencia and Manos Divinas orphanages.

A day of fun in which the children had a chance to enjoy themselves and get a smile on their faces.

But the work on the development of children is extended in 2017 with the need for a library and a dining room for the Divinas Manos home. The Europamundo Foundation has worked with Suplitur to support these activities in 2016 and 2017.
