ASTM D4300 - 01(2013) Standard Test Methods for Ability of Adhesive Films to Support or Resist the Growth of Fungi
WEATHERSKIN RESULTS (test results apply to WSM1 – WSM8 ) excludes: WSM6
Testing was conducted for 90 days and concluded no fungal or microbial indicators of microbial growth could be found on the tested material. No degree of disintegration of the test material could be determined following the tested time frame.
ISO 16929Plastics – Determination of the degree of disintegration of plastic materials under defined composting conditions in a pilot scale test
WEATHERSKIN RESULTS (test results apply to WSM1 – WSM8 ) excludes: WSM6
Demonstrated a weight loss of approximately 2 % following a 3 month incubation in an active composting environment. Sample particulation was observed with characteristics of mechanical (compost mixing) rather than microbiological activity. No fungal growth was observed on the test samples following removal from the sample chamber.
