INTRODUCTION
We are pleased to provide you with the twenty first edition of the Membership Directory of the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce of Washington, DC, Inc. For twenty one years, the directory has been an essential business tool for networking within the Greater Washington DC metro area and as a valuable source of business information. This year the directory is available on line at our website. Networking is an essential part of belonging to SACC Washington, DC. We provide a regional mid-Atlantic platform for professionals and business representatives who are interested in developing business relations, furthering trade, and stimulating investment between the United States and Sweden. In order to fulfill our mission, we often organize luncheons, business meetings, lectures, as well as holding other social activities such as our ever-popular annual Golf Tournament, Crayfish Party and Lucia celebration. SACC Washington, DC is one of 18 Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce nationwide and is a founding member of the network of the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce of the United States of America (SACC-USA). SACC-USA provides our regional members with ready access to an even larger global network for exchanging information and participating in activities of national interest and importance.

HISTORY
SACC Washington DC was incorporated in 1989 by the late Lars Bjerde. The nine founders decided to start a local Swedish-American chamber of commerce and held their first luncheon at the Four Seasons Hotel. There was an audience of 100 people when Hon. Willhelm Wachmeister, Mr. Franklin Forsberg and Mr. Olle Wikström gave their inaugural speeches.

OUR MEMBERSHIP LEVELS & BENEFITS
Corporate $1,200 Corporate members are entitled to designate up to two representatives who will be listed in the membership directory and any number of e-mail recipients. All employees at the company have the opportunity to attend events at member rates. Corporate members will get their linked logo published on the SACC-DC home page and will be presented with an article in the Chamber newsletter. At least one event per year is organized exclusively for Corporate members. Business $600 Business members are entitled to name up to two representatives who will be listed in the membership directory and receive all Chamber member benefits. Business members can list their name with a direct link to their homepage on the member page of our website. Business members will also be presented with an article in the Chamber newsletter
Individual $95 Individual members are listed in the membership directory and receive all Chamber member benefits. Young Professional $35 Young Professional members are listed in the membership directory and receive all Chamber member benefits. There will be a number of Young Professional events throughout the year, such as happy hour gatherings. The membership is available to individuals under the age of 30 or full-time students.
