The election commission of World Federation on
9th February 2017 declared Br. Anwarali Rajabali
Dharamsi as the elected President of World Fed-
eration for the term 2017 – 2020. Melbourne Ja-
maat Australia sent a letter to the newly elected
president congratulating and voicing our opinion
and concerns.

RKPS Immigration and Education would like to bring
a special program for our momineen students and
graduates who require information and guidance
on their immigration related services. We have invit-
ed Brother Ashraf Pulsara registered immigration
agent running RKPS Global immigration PtyLtd from
Brisbane, Queensland to provide a presentation and
answer general questions.
Immigration information session will be conducted
on Saturday 25th March 2017 from 2pm to 4pm with
Presentation, Q&A and BBQ at Taylors Hill Youth and
Community Centre, 121 Calder Park Drive, Taylors
Hill.
Melbourne Jamaat Australia has become a member of Islamic Shia council of Victoria (ISCV) ISCV is an umbrella organisation repre-senting over 60 Shia organisations in the state of Victoria. Its aim is to represent the views and interests of the Shia community of Victoria, while developing friendships and working with the wider Islamic community, other faiths, ethnic and community organisations and all levels of government.
The newly formed ISCV was intro-duced to the Victorian community on Friday 24 February 2017 at a dinner hosted by the ISCV. Mel-bourne Jamaat Australia repre-sentative Br. Raza Gulani and Br. Ali Manjee attended the event. The event was a great success with almost 100 community, faith and cultural leaders attending, includ-
ing the Hon. Robin Scott (Minister for Multicultural Affairs), Helen Kapalos (Chair of the Victorian Multicultural Commission), Bron-wyn HalfPenny MP, Margaret Fitz-herbert MP, Maria Vamvakinou MP, Suzanna Sheed MP, Khalil Ei-deh MP, Greg Barber MLC. The night was very well received by guests.
Melbourne Jamaat Australia had the opportunity to introduce our organisation to the guests and es-tablish network. Melbourne Ja-maat Australia is also providing active support to ISCV. Br. Raza Gulani is working in consultation with Prof. Joseph Camilleri to es-tablish the constitution and Br. Ali Manjee is volunteering as Treasur-er.

Awaz Welfare Trust
Alhamdillah With the efforts of Brother Ali Raza Manjee (Hon.
Treasurer) Melbourne Jamaat Australia has signed an agree-
ment with Awaz Welfare Trust (a reputable charity organiza-
tion in Karachi, Pakistan).
Awaz Welfare Trust International started in October 2013 and
since then they are providing services to humanity on different
platform. The mission of Awaz Welfare Trust International is to
provide a platform to the local community, in particular the
under privileged with seamless access to the basic amnesties
of life at their door step. Awaz Trust also runs a clinic where
patients are seen by Doctors and given medication only for Rs.
20 (equivalent to less than $.50c)
The purpose is to provide facilities to our members ranging
from Sadqa (Charity) to sponsoring an individual for a daily
meal. The listed price for various types of charities are men-
tioned and for availing any the facilities; members can kindly

about the subscription.

Melbourne Jamaat Australia has received the ‘Registered Charity Tick’ from Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). ACNC recently conducted a review of all charity organ-isations and provided each organisation with guidelines in order to meet the eligible criteria to be considered as a transparent and accountable charity organisation. Melbourne Jamaat Aus-tralia has completed all the requirements and has received the tick.
