Jody describes that day, “The floor dropped out from underneath my feet. I found out I was pregnant and I couldn’t believe it. I had been told I wouldn’t be able to have children. I didn’t know what I was going to do.” Jody took the time after her Shepherd’s Fold appointment with Lily to stop in and tell us how appreciative she is for how we have helped her. “Everyone makes me feel welcome and Women’s Care Center is a great organization. You have been right there for me. I am so glad you exist for women who need you. You were created for a purpose “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10) Dr. Kathy Koch spoke about the uniqueness of each person God created and the work He has for each of us to do. She encouraged the hearts of all in attendance with her call for God’s people to “rise up” to protect life and build up the next generation. Janet Kimes was recognized by the board for her 20 years to Women’s Care Center with a special glass memorial constructed to represent the aspects of the ministry she has faithfully served. Amy Newbanks was recognized for her 20 years of administrative service to the ministry with 20 long stemmed roses. Janet provided the growth vision for WCC and the list of areas we are called to “fight” for life! Taylor and Nadia, our patients who were in attendance, were welcomed warmly by the crowd. Their video testimonies told the story of how they found Women’s Care Center, how they worked through their decision to parent, and how grateful they are for the lives of their children. They wanted to let other women know the importance of Women’s Care Center being the first place they sought services. Rise Up to Protect Life – 2017 Banquet

Jody didn’t know Women’s Care

Center existed until the day she

walked in our doors. Jody describes

that day, “The floor dropped out

from underneath my feet. I found

out I was pregnant and I couldn’t

believe it. I had been told I

wouldn’t be able to have children. I

didn’t know what I was going to

do.” Jody took the time after her

Shepherd’s Fold appointment with

appreciative she is for how we have

helped her.

“Everyone makes me feel welcome

and Women’s Care Center is a great

organization. You have been right

there for me. I am so glad you exist

for women who need you. I am

glad you are here for those who

aren’t sure what they will do when

they find out they are pregnant.”

Praise God for His provision of our

$102,149 goal for this year’s banquet!

You were created for a purpose “For we

Jesus to do good works, which God

prepared in advance for us to do.”

(Ephesians 2:10) Dr. Kathy Koch spoke

about the uniqueness of each person

God created and the work He has for each of us to do. She encouraged the

hearts of all in attendance with her call for God’s people to “rise up” to

protect life and build up the next generation.

Janet Kimes was recognized by the board for her 20 years to Women’s Care

Center with a special glass memorial

constructed to represent the aspects of

the ministry she has faithfully served.

Amy Newbanks was recognized for her

20 years of administrative service to the

ministry with 20 long stemmed roses.

Janet provided the growth vision for

WCC and the list of areas we are called

to “fight” for life!

Taylor and Nadia, our patients who were in attendance, were welcomed

warmly by the crowd. Their video testimonies told the story of how they

found Women’s Care Center, how they worked through their decision to

parent, and how grateful they are for the lives of their children. They wanted

to let other women know the importance of Women’s Care Center being the

Volunteer Profile

Lisa Indermuhle started training in 2016, completed her training in early 2017 and conducted her first solo patient session in January. She loves connecting with the patients by listening and learning about their lives. She was scared but found God gave the strength and words for each of her sessions. Here is a little more about Lisa from our interview: How did you find out about Women’s Care Center and what made you want to get involved? Jill Amos who is another volunteer at the center told me about her work here. I had been a volunteer mentor at New Beginnings when I lived in Cape Coral, FL. It is a mission for single moms and children.

The Whole Sex Talk™ is a new

program offered to churches by Women’s Care Center. It is a Biblically-based, six-session multimedia program that empowers parents to have healthy, ongoing conversations with their kids about

I enjoyed my time with them and thought I would like to get involved where I live now. My heart is burdened for human trafficking. As I prayed about a way to serve women, I found Women’s Care Center is a way to help single moms. What is your favorite part of working here? I am so encouraged by the staff and other volunteers that I find it very spiritually uplifting to come to Women’s Care Center each time I am scheduled. I was impressed with the thorough training and shadowing I was required to complete. They really prepare you to help patients. We also pray before each session which is critical to our work and what we might encounter during the appointment. I love feeling like I have connected with the women and have been able to help them in the short time they are with us. What would you tell others who might be considering volunteering? I would tell others who are interested in the ministry here to come if God is leading. I have struggled with self confidence in my life and my involvement here has been a huge blessing.
