t is always said that rst impression counts and I guess it somehow means that if you start on an upbeat you tend to end fairly well at the end of the year. This quarter being the rst one of the calendar year 2019 has started on upbeat with entertainment activities taking place throughout. This quarter witnessing

Pakistan Day celebrations at KPT Aqua Sports Festival has ended on high notes. March has remained explosive for KPT as it started o with International Public Art Festival organized at KPT Head Oce Building. KPT Head Oce Building remained open during the festival for the art lover visitors who have enjoyed the heritage building and thanked the KPT administration.

Besides this, a high level meeting of Pakistan Railways with Karachi Port Trust has also taken place in February in which ministers of both the ministries have participated. KPT has also performed beautication work on Jinnah Bridge during the ending quarter to fulll cleanliness requirements before the commencement of International Aman Exercise-2019. Another high level Dutch delegation, headed by H. E. Mrs Ardi Stoios-Braken, the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Pakistan, has also visited the KPT Head Oce in February to explore avenues available in Pakistan under CPEC regime for the Dutch companies.

Hajj balloting has also taken place in KPT as happens every year. It has remained a regular feature in KPT to nance Hajj of 20 pilgrims, which includes two ocers and 18 workers, performing Hajj this year under the government programme. KPT negotiated a good Charter of Demand with the CBA Union which was announced and celebrated by CBA Union/workers. In fact this quarter had everything for everybody in KPT.
