Step 1: Identify Your Goals and Audience.
• Get people to attend your events?• Maintain contact with existing
donors?• Find new donors?• Attract volunteers?• Attract attention from traditional
media?
Step 2: Identify Your Message.
• What do you want your intended audience to take away from their interactions with you?
Step 3: Identify Your Tools.
• Different strengths• Different weaknesses• Reach different demographics• Don’t try to do everything at once!

• Don’t be afraid to try things out, and don’t be afraid to fail.
• Social media is not about marketing: it’s about conversation and building relationships.
