JOHN J. LADASKY - Grandpa Prophater"' With a BS in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern

University, John seems to be an unlikely candidate forparticipation in community theater, but one performance wasall he needed to bring him back for more. He says he owes hisinterest in music & theater to sons, John, Jr. (an excellentmusician) and Michael ( who studied with John Healy atLincoln) and his supporting roles to his wife, Donna, whoprovided costuming expertise for the productions. His first

appearance with WVLO was in "Music Man" for which he won the Captain's Cape, then came the role of Cord Elam, the Sheriff, in "Oklahoma" and First AssistantDirector in "Singin' In The Rain". He also performed last summer in "Oklahoma",Gilroy's first Music Under the Stars. He loves to go duck hunting when he isn'tworking at Sun Microsystems as an electrical engineer. John loves playingGrandpa until sons, John Jr. and Michael provide the "real thing"!

DEE DEE HEALY - Esther SmithOur regular audiences will remember Dee Dee for her ERMAaward- winning role as Kathy Selden in last season's "Singin' InThe Rain". He has also sung with a choral group in Wales andplayed guitar with a rock band. How much more versatile canhe get? Well, we'll tell you! She also completeda video for United Way last year and is an Allstar baseball andsoccer player. Hobbies include those sports as well as L...- ...L:.---'-.....Jsinging and stamp collecting. Her highlight of her career to date is auditioning forthis part and actually getting it!! Not only did Ashley get the part, but her littlesister, Jamie, plays Tootie, her stage sister. This show also holds a special spotin their mother's heart because she was born in St. Louis. Ashley wants to be adance teacher just like our choreographer, Debbie Norris. That's quite a goal,Ashley, and we hope you make it.

she likes to read, write poetry, and play baseball. Her ambition is to be aniceskater and a veterinarian. Does that mean a skating animal doctor, Jamie? Weare very grateful to Mr. & Mrs. Murray and all the parents for their efforts and timedevoted to rehearsals and performances so that we can enjoy these girl's talents.

When she was 5 she played thepart of Molly in "Annie" for the San Lorenzo Valley RepertoryTheater and at 6 was a sea monster in "Little Mermaid" forSJCMT. She has already taken ballet and tap classes so iswell on her way to portraying other leading roles as she growsup. Her hobbies are art, snow skiing and swimming. She hasan older brother and says the highlight of her life was when her

little sister was born two years ago. Tiffany's ambition is to be an actress andPresident of the United States. Boy, don't those two go together!!! Good luck,Tiffany, we will be 'voting' for you.

Any "spare" time she spends workingwith her favorite service organization, Quota Club, to focus on assistance to thespeech and hearing impaired. Her ambition is to see that all schools intiate ahearing conservation program for their students in order to prevent early hearingloss. Great goal, Marge, and we hope you make it!

WEST VALLEY LIGHT OPERA ASSOCIATIONANNOUNCES ITS 29TH SEASON, 1993-1994

"I DO! I DO!"Book & Lyrics by Tom Jones. Music by Harvey Schmidt.

"I DO! I DO!" is the story of a marriage. Based on "The Four-Poster" by Jande Hartog, this is the story of Michael and Agnes a chronicle of life ... birth oftheir children ... quarrels ... money problems love ... all told in a warmsentimental style, sometimes with tongue-in-cheek, sometimes brassy andbold, alternately soft and touching, but always entertaining. The scoreincludes "My Cup Runneth Over"; "Together Forever"; "Nobody's Perfect";"What Makes a Woman"; and the title song. Performances: Mar/Apr 94

"MY FAIR LADY"Book & Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner. Music by Frederick Lowe.

'''MY FAIR LADY" is universally hailed as the greatest musical ever writtenbecause of Lerner & Lowe's masterful musical adaptation of Shaw's"Pygmalion", it inspires a virtuoso performance from every member of thecast. Professor Higgins' successful transformation of Eliza Doolittle from acockney gutter "sparrow" to an elegant society "swan" is the truimph of hiscareer. With a rousing and memorable score which includes such favorites as"The Rain In Spain", "With A Little Bit 0' Luck", "Wouldn't It Be Loverly", "GetMe To The Church On Time", and "On The Street Where You Live", this is theperfect musical for a light-hearted evening.
