Rev. Jill Sander-Chali Series Theme: Jesus is a master storyteller, often employing puzzling stories to teach a deeper message. Each week we’ll look at one of Jesus’ parables to better understand the kingdom of heaven.

May 19 - Ready for the Kingdom Jesus tells a story about ten bridesmaids who trimmed their lamps while waiting for the bridegroom. Some brought extra oil and some did not. What does it look like for us to be ready for the kingdom? Matthew 25: 1 - 13

May 26 - Reward in the Kingdom Jesus tells a story about a landowner who hires workers in the vineyard and pays all of them the same no matter how long they have worked. What is the reward for kingdom living? Matthew 20: 1 - 16
