Optimize local and remote data collection to improve operation and maintenance:

– CSS can be remotely monitored, optimizing visits, and increasing safety.

– Digital Integration with local and remote control system support higher flexibility and easy re-configuration

ABB’s latest technologies lower cost of operations. These include:

– Predictive maintenance, optimizing maintenance costs and avoiding unscheduled downtime

– Integration of process and maintenance data to improve efficiency

Latest digital technologies allow simple implementation of smart grids, with for instance:

- A single optimized network with multi-directional power flows, and

- Real-time grid monitoring, able to operate as an efficient energy market.

Substations to facilitate integration of renewable energy and reinforce power transmission grid

Enabling the efficient integration of power from two new wind complexes into the country’s transmission grid

Presenter
Presentation Notes
Name of customer - Casa dos Ventos, a leading renewables company in Brazil Location – Northeastern Brazil Products – ABB was responsible for the delivery of the 230 kV and 69 kV air-insulated switchgear substations including compact 34.5 kV substations with distribution transformers, connection bays and overhead lines. ABB also supplied reclosers - circuit breakers designed to interrupt short-circuit current – to isolate faults and prevent outages from cascading across the network. Lastly, the substations will also be equipped with IEC 61850-compliant open standard automation capabilities as well as control and protection systems. How we helped them - These substations and related infrastructure will facilitate the integration, transmission and distribution of clean wind energy to serve growing electricity needs in the region. “They will also help strengthen grid reliability and secure power supplies.
