Medina Jazz Bands
Medina Performing Arts Center 851 Weymouth Road (Route 3) -Medina, OH
April 17, 2021
Welcome to all our Parents, Students, Directors and Friends of the Jazz Bands!
On behalf of the Medina Band Parents Association, I would like to personally welcome you to our Annual Dinner & All That Jazz event.
Show Times are 5:00PM and 7:30PM Doors will open 15 minutes before the show Due to pandemic precautions, please do not congregate before or after the performance. We ask that you please find your assigned seats prior to the performance and exit the performing arts center promptly when instructed to by an usher. Thank you for your cooperation. Be sure to pick up a dessert box on your way exiting the building. Our THANK YOU to you for coming out and supporting the jazz program. If you ordered Krispy Kreme doughnuts, they will be located by the building exit for pickup.
Tonight is our opportunity to realize the countless hours of preparation and hard work of all our performing jazz band students and directors and we would like to commend each of them for their efforts. The Band Parents organization could not exist without all of our “Worker Bees” and I would like to thank each of them, as well as our past and present Medina band parents and our supportive community! A special thanks to our Dinner & All That Jazz chair Melissa Fox for making this evening possible as well as the rest of the Jazz Dinner committee Greg Fedor, Wendy Good, Connie Kurko, Shirley Laribee, Cyndi McClintock and Bob Rawlins and the rest of the volunteers working this evening! I would also like to thank all of our sponsors and donors also listed in this program. Please help us support the businesses that are supporting us. You can always find out what the Musical Bees are up to by visiting our website at www.musicalbees.org. It is a great way to keep up to date on what is happening with the Band. Please make yourself at home, some of you actually are. If you opted for one of our wonderful Dominic’s Family dinners, enjoy a wonderful dinner while listening to All That Jazz. Thanks again for joining us and we hope to see you again next year! Enjoy the show! Sincerely,
Dave Baclawski Medina Band Parents Association President
Please Observe the Following Jazz Performance Etiquette
Turn off or silence all electronic devices. While many phones now have very jazzy ringtones, they don’t always fit into
musical scores, nor do they provide pleasant sounds for your neighbors.
Applaud at appropriate times. Some music has several sections. Remember, it’s not over until all of the sections have
been performed. Applauding after a soloist is perfectly acceptable and encouraged!
Do not take flash photography. Flash photography can be very distracting to Performers, Directors and Attendees. The flash can also affect the quality of the video recording of
the evening’s performance. DVDs of tonight’s performance are available to order near the Main Entrance.
Be courteous to your neighbors. This is a casual dinner event with many people moving about. Try to enter and exit the stage areas between performances.
Thank You & Enjoy!
