FUE Hair Transplant Technique

The FUE hair transplant technique involves the one by one extraction of follicular units from the donor area. It is implemented through the extraction of follicular units from the back and sides of the scalp and their reimplantation to the area affected by hair loss. FUE can reproduce natural hair growth, as transplanted hair regrows in its natural occurring groups of 1-4 hairs. FUE has eliminated the need for a linear incision and allows hair transplant doctors to perform Follicular Unit Hair Transplantation through single and direct harvesting of the follicular units. FUE method enables physicians to harvest individual follicular units, while ensur-ing the minimum of peripheral damage.

Due to the particular way of follicular units’ harvesting, the FUE lasts many hours. However time goes by pleasantly, as a patient can watch TV or have a conversation with the medical team or simply relax. During the procedure there are intervals and after the end of the procedure a patient can return to the Elements Hotel, which is a 2 minute walking distance from our clinic. FUE is a painless procedure, which is accompanied by a smooth post-operative course. Usually there is no discomfort experienced by patients and any possible annoyance can be treated with common painkillers. Most of the time there is no post-operative forehead swelling. In a few days after the hair transplant a patient can return to his/her usual activities, and start a vacation in Greece.

Bergmann Kord implements PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) hair loss treat-ment, which is an innovative method for the treatment of male & fe-male hair loss, complementary to FUE or as a separate treatment. PRP is based on the platelet rich plasma, an enriched in platelets portion of blood that is easily extracted after a special treatment of a small blood sample. Its direct injection into the area affected by hair loss appears to be a highly effective hair loss treatment as well as hair transplant boosting treatment, since it takes advantage of the various growth fac-tors that platelets contain, which promote cell proliferation and tissue regeneration.
