Sampai dengan umur kebuntingan 14 hari tidak diperoleh perubahan. Penipisan korteks serebri dan peningkatan kepcedatan populasi jaringan otak secara nyata terjadi pada umur fetus hari ke 18, 21 dan neonatal (P<0,05). Neurogliosis yang terjadi pada serebrum dan lokasinya dipelajari lebih lanjut. Kata kunci : tiourea 0,6 % (blv), hipotiroid, neurogliosis fetus ABSTRACT A study of the cerebral cortex and the population density of the brain tissues was conducted on foetal cerebrum of hypothyroid pregnant rat (Rattus norvegicus) induced by 0.6 % (wlv) thiourea in drinking water. There was no alteration of both cerebral cortex and the population density of brain tissues, up to 14 days of gestation period, a decrease in the thickness of the cerebral cortex and an increase in the population density of brain tissues were found on the day of 18, 21 of gestation period and neonatal, respectively (Pc0.05). Foetal neurogliosis occurcd in this study and its location was discussed. Pengamatan atas korteks serebri dan kepadatan populasi jaringan otak telah dilakukan terhadap serebrum fetus tikus (Rattus norvegicus) dari induk hipotiroid hasil induksi dengan tiourea 0,6 % dalam air minurn. ABSTRACT

A study of the cerebral cortex and the population density of the brain tissues was conducted on foetal cerebrum of hypothyroid pregnant rat (Rattus norvegicus) induced by 0.6 % (wlv) thiourea in drinking water. There was no alteration of both cerebral cortex and the population density of brain tissues, up to 14 days of gestation period, a decrease in the thickness of the cerebral cortex and an increase in the population density of brain tissues were found on the day of 18, 21 of gestation period and neonatal, respectively (Pc0.05). Foetal neurogliosis occurcd in this study and its location was discussed.
