Julianne Hough,

Again like the last artist, I had never heard of her until I started to analysis other artists. i cant really say much about this cover, as I have said everything to say about it within the other CD covers, there is

A main image

The name of the artist

Not many colours and it is not that complicated.

Taylor Swift, Fearless.

This CD cover is very basic, doesn’t have much on it apart from a picture of the artist, and the name of her along with the CD title. The colours are also pretty plane, for instance using browns and blacks as the back ground.

The main image is of a mid shot of a woman, from this we can see she must be the artist who has sung the songs on the CD, she is looking straight into the camera incising people to buy the CD. She is pouting, which makes her look pretty, this is a traditional representation of a woman. (as they are supposed to look pretty.) the woman has long blonde hair which is curly, this again makes her look pretty.

The writing on the front cover is white, it stands out and is easy to read. The name of the artist is wrote in a fancy font, which makes the CD look as if its for sophisticated people. It is not to big or to small and can be seen from a distance. The writing underneath that is again easy to read, it is in block capital letters, and can be easily read.

The CD doesn’t contain much mis en scen as there is only a main image on it. Unfortunately I cannot tell what the back ground is, or doesn’t even know if there is a background.

Jessica Simpson- in this skin.

Again, this CD is pretty basic, it has one main image, and a title again I do not think there is a back ground, excepted from a brown wall like thing. From looking at the too CD covers I have already looked at, I am starting to believe that country music/pop have a main image on the front along with the name of the artist and the CD name.

The main image on the front of this CD cover is a mid shot of a woman,, she looks very pretty smiling at the camera, this welcomes people in and incises people to bye it, again she has long blonde hair and looks very pretty. She is not wearing a lot of make up which makes her look natural. We can see her shoulders and the top of her chest, it doesn’t look as though she is wearing any cloths which takes away the innocents of the woman.

The name of the artist and her CD name is written going up the side of the CD case, it has a blue border covering it which highlights the name and helps it stand out.

Kellie Pickber.

Before I was analysing country artists I had never heard of her, but once I discovered her I listened to a few of her songs and I really enjoyed them

This CD cover isn’t much different from the ones I had already analysed, again it has a mid shot of a woman, she again is looking at the camera and welcoming people in. the cover is in black and white and only has her name in colour, this is very tactile as it makes her name stand out and easy to see.

Her name is wrote it a fancy font which I have noticed is a common thing among county music. The fact it is pink helps her name stand out and people know the music is possibly for woman or older adolescence.

Around the CD there are white shapes, these look like stars, which could help people know she thinks she is a star, or again it could help people know her music is for girls.
