1) WHAT ARE THE MAIN INSTITUTIONS USED FOR EACH OF THE FILMS? (IN TERMS OF PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION?) FIND THEIR LOGO AND ADD IT ON.

The main institutions used for Halloween are compass international. Compass International Pictures was an American film distribution company founded by Irwin Yablans and Joseph Wolf in 1977. Their first, and most notable film release was Halloween in 1978 with Falcon films. The company closed down in 1981. The company currently exists as a subsidiary of Trancas International Films, Inc. Avatars main institution was 20th Century fox. 20th Century Fox are a well known and high budgetted company. They are known for their high-grossing popular movies such as Star wars, there's something about Mary and Ice-age. Fox were founded in May 31, 1935.

HOW WELL KNOWN ARE THE PRODUCTION COMPANIES FOR BOTH THE HIGH-BUDGET AND LOW-BUDGET FILM?

The high budget film companies are a lot more well-known and popular than those of a low budget. For example most people are aware who 20th century fox are yet few know of falcon films, a low-budget

The high budget institutions, such 20th century fox, spend most their funds on special effects, actors and directors. Where as low budget spend the higher majority of their funds on promotion and trailers because theyre a less known institute.

The similarities of these institutions is that they place higher amounts of their earnings into their production and implementation. Both create trailers and still need to advertise no matter how popular.

Halloween was produced by compass international. Compass international went broke in 1981. Their highest earning movie was Halloween. Halloween is the most successful film produced by CIP. The company currently exists as a subsidiary of Trancas International Films, Inc. 20th Century fox’s most successful movie was infact avatar. 20th century fox is very well known for their popular movies and high-grossing productions.

8) WHAT GENRE OF FILMS DOES THE COMPANY USUALLY PRODUCE? IS THIS IMPORTANT WHEN CONSIDERING WHO COULD PRODUCE YOUR FILM? WHY?

Compass international picture typically produced Horror movies. 20th century fox typically produce a variety of genres. These vary from thrillers such as hide and seek to comedies such as lets be cops and family films like rio 2 .

The genre is crucial when selecting your institution as they are recognised for their horrors and audiences can remember who made good and who made bad.

20th c fox are able to create a variety of genres as their following and popularity are very large .

9) WHAT AUDIENCES DO EACH OF THE INSTITUTIONS AIM TO APPEAL TO? IS THIS REFLECTED THROUGH THEIR FILM CHOICE, OR DOES THIS VARY?

Compass international appeal to older viewers, and thrill-goers. Compass is aimed toward people who enjoy horror as they only have only produced this genre.

20th Century fox appeal to everyone, all ages, all gender. They produce every genre movie thus they have a higher following and are a popular institution as everyone watches their movies.

10) WHICH INSTITUTION DO YOU FEEL OUTPERFORMS THE OTHER AND COULD CLAIM TO BE MORE SUCCESSFUL, CONSIDERING YOUR RESEARCH? EXPLAIN YOUR REASONS

I believe 20th Century fox out shadows Compass international as they have been running since 1935. compass went bankrupt due to lack of income and success. 20th century fox have a might higher following and they are widely known across the globe. Alos, I believe this as 20th century fox have the highest grossing movie of all time
