Print Media Electronic Media

images, typically with ink on paper using a printing press.

publications printed on paper and are circulated as physical copies in forms of books, newspapers, magazines and newsletters.
Democracy Of Media :- A media democracy focuses on using information
technologies to both empower individual citizens and promote democratic ideals through the spread of information. Additionally, the media system itself
should be democratic in its own construction shying away from private ownership or intense regulation.
Media democracy entails that media should be used to promote democracy as well as the conviction that
media should be democratic itself ; media ownership concentration is not democratic and cannot serve to promote democracy and therefore must be examined
critically.
A media democracy advocates:-
1.Replacing the current libertarian media model with one that operates democratically, rather
than for profit.2. Strengthening public service broadcasting.
3. Incorporating the use of alternative media into the larger discourse.
4. Increasing the role of citizen journalism5. Turning a passive audience into active
participants6. Using the mass media to promote democratic
ideals
CENSORSHIPIndian media is free . But sometimes ,the
government can ban the media from broadcasting or publishing certain items to protect the interest of our country or some religious/cultural group . This is known as CENSORSHIP.
Censorship in all forms is often unjustifiable and is used simply to stop truth or ideas emerge with draw attention to powerful people or governments , or undermine ideology . This is inexcusable .
Violence , bans and seizure of content are just some of the methods used to directly censor and suppress people and their ideas.
