    Our largest dining facility offers a variety of fresh, all-you-care-to-eat options, along with flat screen TVs, Wi-Fi, and late-night study spaces. A variety of pre-made and restaurant style made-to-order items are available at over nine food stations, including a salad/fruit bar. We also serve Caribou Coffee.

    Susanne’s Inside the Lumen Vitae University Center Monday-Sunday: 7 am – 9 pm* Susanne’s features Caribou Coffee, including espresso-style coffees, teas, blended drinks, baked treats, seasonal gifts and personalized bakery items.

Membership is included for all apartment residents with the purchase of any meal plan. To activate memberships, students must successfully complete the university’s Alcohol Education Course.

    EAT WELLNutritional Information Nutritional information can be found on our website, dining app, and onsite signage.

    Special DietsIf you have special dietary needs, allergies, or questions about healthy eating, please contact our dietitian, Teresa Vetter, R.D., L.R.D. at 701-355-3787 or [email protected]. We’re also pleased to offer a specially-researched allergy station in the Crow’s Nest, which prepares food free from milk, egg, peanut, tree nut, fish, shellfish, soy, and gluten.

    Late-Night DiningIn order to serve you our highest quality product, our late-night dining program runs from 9:30pm-7:00am. The menu includes cook-to-order items at the Jolly Roger Grill such as burgers, fries, chicken, quesadillas, eggs, and more; accompanied by a crudité bar, premade salads, dessert, snacks, continental breakfast, and additional offerings.

  • CONNECT WITH USWho is required to purchase a meal plan? All residents of Roers, North, Hillside, Greg Butler, Boniface, Boniface West, Saint Scholastica and Saint Joseph’s Halls are required to purchase a Diamond, Sapphire, or Topaz plan. Residents of Subiaco, Monte Cassino, Boyle, and Deichert are required to purchase a Diamond, Sapphire, Topaz, or one of the Block (75, 150 or 250) Plans. All students on athletic scholarships who live off campus are required to have a meal plan (enrolled on the Sapphire plan unless otherwise selected). Commuter students may purchase any of the plans.

    Can I change my meal plan? Students may change their meal plan option prior to the close of business on the first day of classes; these changes may be made online on the housing portal. After the first day of classes, students who wish to change their meal plan will need to do so at the Student Development Office. After Tuesday, January 19, ten business days after the start of the semester, students will be unable to change to a lesser plan. However, students may upgrade or add the Golden Ticket throughout the year. Meal plan changes will be billed according to the date of change on a prorated basis.

    Can I use my meal plan for friends or family? Students may use their Guest Passes or Marauders Bucks to treat friends and family to a meal in the Crow’s Nest Campus Restaurant. Marauders Bucks may also be used to treat guests at Marauders Cove. Other options are to use Universal Bucks, or Credit Card. Unlimited or block meal swipes are for personal use only and some restrictions may apply.

    What are the dates of service under my Spring 2021 Meal Plan? Under the terms of each plan, 24-hour meal service will begin for students at 4 pm on Sunday, January 3, 2021. Meal service will end at 4 pm on the last day of finals. In case of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, hours and services may vary.

    What are Marauders Bucks? Marauders Bucks may come with the purchase of a meal plan. Marauders Bucks can be used to make purchases at the Crow’s Nest Campus Restaurant, Marauders Cove, all campus vending machines, the concession stand in the McDowell Activity Center, and the University Bookstore. Additional Marauders Bucks cannot be added, but Universal Bucks can be added and used in the same way. All Marauders Bucks must be used by the end of the semester. Unused Marauders Bucks are not refundable and cannot be rolled over.

    What are Universal Bucks? Universal Bucks are dollars that can be added to a student’s account and be used to make purchases at the Crow’s Nest Campus Restaurant, Marauders Cove, all campus vending machines, the concession stand in the McDowell Activity Center, and the University Bookstore. Universal Bucks can be rolled over from semester to semester. Additional Universal Bucks can be added by visiting the Business Office or by phone with a credit card at 701-355-8249.

    What are the hours for Spring and Easter Breaks? For hours and offerings during school breaks, please visit umary.edu/dining. There will be meal services available over Spring and Easter Breaks 2021 for students who choose to stay on campus.
