AIR AMBULANCE SERVICES & Flight Insurance Part of what attracts us to our beautiful community is its remote lo- cation; however, this can come with a price if you’re not prepared. It could be quite costly if you or a loved one was critically injured and needed to be transported immediately to a hospital or trauma center by an Air Medical team, and it wasn’t covered by your Health Insurance. PHI Cares and CALSTAR are two companies that offer yearly member- ships for between $40.00 and $80.00 per household that would cover the cost of these services, should you re- quire them. If you would like additional informa- tion, call them at: PHI Cares: www.phicares.com 1-888-435-9744 CALSTAR: www.calstar.org 1-888-207-5433 CLINE’S FITTNESS TO RE-OPEN We have news that Cline’s Fitness center has a new owner and will be re-opening in the near future. They are planning a restaurant/bar, 4 B&B rooms, 2 racquetball courts and weight room. The pool should open by next summer. The new owner may attend our next Board meeting to discuss his plans and details on memberships and use. 2016 – 2017 MPOA Board of Directors Don Cooper President BRC Dave Gallagher, Sr. Vice President BRC/Trees Paul Gonzales Secretary BRC Dick Brockett, Treasurer [email protected] Jill Micheau VIP Pete Slagle Signs & Stuff Don Shinn HOA Manager [email protected] 209-795-1973 BARK BEETLES The Sierra is experiencing a pine tree mortality issue. A number of property owners are experiencing dead and dying trees due to Bark Beetles. Please inspect your trees and work with an Arborist to advise on treatments and/or removal to halt the spread of these nasty crit- ters. You can call PG&E if the trees are near the power lines and PG&E will fell and take out the trees and remove them if readily accessible. Hot community topics were reviewed by our guest speaker District 3 supervisor Mike Oliveira. A plaque was presented to retiring Director Bill Nelson for his many years of service.
