Description
The meadowlark is a Nebraska bird. It is 9 to 11 inches. It has yellow under parts with a black “V” on it’s chest and white with black streaks on it’s back. The type of coloring is various colors. The animals covering is feathers that are brown and black. Most meadowlarks live in the west and east.

Habitat
The ground is it’s natural home. Their home is made of a nest of grasses. They live in an abandoned field. Sometimes their home get destroyed by humans mowing fields.

Living habits
They devour seeds and berries. Some are vegetarians. They feed in flocks most of the time. The eastern meadowlark makes a higher pitched song when it calls than the western meadowlark.

Interesting Facts
Their real name is called Sturnella Neglecta which means neglecta meadowlark.
