arlier this year Zaya, developer o Nurai

released the rst o its show villas at the

exclusive project just of the coast o AbuDhabis Saadiyat Island.

Created by Paris-based Aw2, Zayas unique inte-

riors conceptualisation process or Nurai Island was

the result o targeted market research with high-

net-worth individuals to gather intelligence about

their behavioural trends and aspirations resulting

in a unique development that responds entirely to

    their needs and wants.

Tis process produced a number o concepts which

ed directly into the general design brie provided.

For example the research showed a strong desireor privacy and seclusion which translates into an

architectural green carpet concept with homes

    tucked under.

Respondents expressed a preerence or an indoor-

outdoor liestyle which has been achieved by bring-

ing outdoor elements into the homes with open

living spaces, large windows and transparent walls.

A company spokesman said: Nurai delivers a

unique architectural concept that responds to clients

desire to live on a seemingly virgin island - giving

them a heightened sense o privacy and seclusion.A carpet o greenery unolds across the island, with

sweeping structures underneath to envelop residents

in their own world o private luxury.

Te design and nish o the properties is o thehighest quality ofering a premium living experi-

ence where every attention to detail has been con-

sidered by working in partnership with the worlds

    most renowned architects, designers, consultants

    and brands.

    Each residence includes luxurious amenities

such as a private beach and garden, an innity

swimming pool, concealed service quarters and

    outdoor showers.

All elements o Nurai, be it building materials

or architectural elements, are designed to workin harmony with each other and with Nurais

    environment.

Te project incorporates superior attention to

detail, exceptional quality in nishes and urnish-

ing and natural materials have been used wher-

    ever possible.

And since Nurai is intended to be unique, the de-

veloper is not speciying brands or all elements o

the interiors, but ocussing on bespoke and unique

designs custom made in most instances.

Te ultimate haven, Nurai is surrounded by crys-

you are you eel its pull. Colour schemes or the ur-

niture, ttings and sot urnishings play on the ele-

ments o earth and water throughout the villa and

were selected to maximise light and airiness acrossthe living spaces.

Te monochromatic interior creates an atmos-

phere o timelessness with the continuity o sim-

plistic serenity. Tere is interplay o sot warm

shades o earthy colours and various textures which

compliment the natural elements o Nurai Island.

Te spokesman added: Our aim or Nurai was

not to overwork the design or idea. Even though

we kept the design simple, pure, strong and hon-

est, it still oozes a sense o luxury. Te interior may

be monochromatic and essentially understated andsimple but it is as generous as it is sumptuous.
