Reporter: Good morning Hungary! Today we have with us Dr. Piko Anna, the director of the Hewlett Hospital. She is one of the best doctors in Hungary. Today’s conversation will be about the Eifth Millennium Development Goal, ensure safe and healthy motherhood. Well let it begin! What do you think that the UN could do to help complete goal Eive?
Guest: Well in my point‐of‐view, I think that when every time a woman is pregnant, she should always have clean water and healthy foods, because the babies are connected and get everything that the mother eats. The baby could die in the mother’s stomach if she doesn’t eat clean foods.
R: What is the problem if there is no baby or child in the family?
G: Then only the lucky families can be supported in their older days. But if the mother has at least one child, then that child can support the family if it grows up to be wealthy.
R: What do you think are possible solutions?
G: Well in my opinion, I think that the UN and other societies could donate items that help clean the water, and donate fresh seeds for growing crops that will provide the mother with healthy food.
R: That was nice of you coming here and giving us your opinion. Thank you for dropping by, hope you have a great day, and will donate something useful items for these poor mothers. Have a great day!

Jolan Hegedus chose to write an acrostic poem about poverty, and how people all around the world need to help, instead of only the UN (United Nations)

The Children’s Educations
In Mopti, Mali there lived a family of Eive. There was Mon, the father, Marica, the mother, Ababa and Muntazia, the smaller sisters, and Karazianuto, the bigger brother. At this time of the year the village was wealthier than ever, and the crops grew well. But one day the sun was shining down on the villagers harder than before. The crops died out, and the rivers dried out. The Eishermen could get no money because the Eish had all died, (only the rich had them in aquariums.) and the farmer’s crops were dead. Some starved to death. Others went hunting by the shores miles away (because the animals from the nearby forest needed water.) But everyone died before they could reach shelter. They were dying because of the heat. No one could resist it longer. The children couldn’t go to school because there was no roof, so they would boil. This went on for two years, and soon the school was torn apart, to make stronger sheds on houses. A couple of days later something happened that everyone has wanted for a very long time. It rained. Mon, Marica, Ababa, Muntazia, and Karazianuto were dancing outside in the rain. As far as eyes can see, the village seemed like needles popping up everywhere. The whole village was dancing in the rain, even the old grandmothers got out of their houses, and started dancing. The villagers went crazy, and started jumping, screaming, and some were even whistling and clapping. By the next few days, the weather was back to normal. The Eishermen, and the farmers were back to work. Because of the damages; the farmers needed to work even harder. By the time the school has been built, everyone did something. For example: Ababa, Muntazia, and Karazianuto were back in school, learning what to do, and how to foretell why another dry season may come. And Mon and Marica were back on the farm, working together. Mon and Marica were so wealthy, and the farming went so great, they could afford uniforms, books, pencils, erasers, and pencil cases for Ababa, Muntazia, and Karazianuto. They could also afford a cook, a maid, and a tooter. (The tooter was for the children.) After that, every time before there was a dry season, kids ran around the village, warning the villagers to get ready. Because of this, the village can now get ready, and most of all, they won’t be surprised if something happens, that they didn’t expect to.

The Decision
Karazianuto, Muntazia, and Ababa were walking home from school.Karazianuto, Muntazia, and Ababa: Hi Marica! How are you?Muntazia: Are there any news that we don’t know yet?Marica: Well… Mon, do you want to explain?Mon: Well the fact is that we don’t have enough money to send you all to school from now on. So we’ll just send Karazianuto.Muntazia: But why?Ababa: This year we are even better than Karazianuto. So why can’t one of us girls go instead?Mon: Because then Karazianuto needs to learn more. Muntazia and Ababa walk to their room. In the room…Ababa: We have to do something to show father we are worthy enough to go to school.Muntazia: But how? You know father well, he believes that boys are better.Ababa and Muntazia drift to sleep, while a stranger knocks on the door. Marica opened the door and…Miss Roovian: I truly think that Ababa or Muntazia should go to school. There is more future in their lives than in Karazianuto’s.Mon: Well if that’s the fact, I agree to send one of them to school instead of Karazianuto. The next morning Muntazia walks to school happily.
The Solution
In many developing countries goal 4 (to reduce the number of babies and children who die) is a big issue. People all around the world have tried to help solve the problem. But most of them have failed. This paragraph will explain what the real answer is. The real solution is: The mother’s need clean water and food if they are pregnant. That is because the baby is connected to the mother. The solution for reducing the number of children who die is: The children should get clean food and water until they are old enough to Eight the disease. If they don’t get ill, then they can live. By the time they Eind the solution, they will be in perfect condition.

Share Responsibility Song
If you share responsibility,The world will keep us.
If we try harder,To be kind, helpful, and sharing.
The world will keep us.If we kill, won’t help the others, and won’t share,
The world will send us away.If we try our hardest,The world will keep us.If we try our hardest,
To be kind, helpful, and sharing,We will never leave earth.
