1 Brief Introduction

1.1 Overview

MCleaner is a iPhone Call and SMS Filter program. With MCleaner you can block incoming calls and SMS messages automatically and protect your privacy.

MCleaner allows you to create Blacklists, Whitelists, Profiles and Schedules to meet your individual needs.

MCleaner provide a trial period for 15 days. Once it expires, you need to register for continuous use. Once purchased,enjoys lifetime free upgrade.

1.2 Install

2. How to install MCleaner on iPhoneOS 2.X:

1) Jailbroken iPhone (3G iPhone)

2) Launch Cydia, and Choose the Utilities Category

3) Choose MCleaner and Install

3. Install pxl file directly via correlative tools

1.3 Brief guide

Thanks for using MCleaner, following information will give you a brief guide:

1) By default, message from contacts and all incoming call will be accepted, other messages will be blocked to logs.

2 ) To accept/block specific number or keyword(sms), you may create Whitelist/Blacklist manually or by importing from

phonebook/calllog/inbox.

3) You may change the default policy in the Settings.

4) You may change the global policy by set the working mode in the main interface.

5) When call/sms is blocked, there will be an indication icon in the top-right corner.

6) Please check logs time to time to avoid missing useful message or calls.

2 Main Interface

After completing the install, you can find the icon of “MCleaner”. Click the icon and the interface will appear as the following:

Normal:

The most commonly used blocking mode by combinations of whitelist, blacklist and configuration options.

Profile:

MCleaner works according to profile mode.

Sched:

MCleaner works according to Sched mode.

Disable:

Disable Mcleaner program.

Whitelist:

Edits phone numbers and key words that you would like to accept.

Blacklist:

Edits phone numbers and key words that you would like to block.

My logs:

Records spam messages and incoming calls that have been blocked as well as record of phone numbers in the blacklist sent.

Profile:

Changes the operation mode of MCleaner temporarily according to different scenarios.

Schedular:

Sets the operation mode and specific message reply template subject to different time periods.

Settings:

Defines the blocking rules towards various short messages and incoming calls as well as parameter configurations of the system.

3 BlackList

Blacklist refers to the phone calls and messages that users refuse to accept, which can be edited by users. Phone calls and messages that

accord with the blacklist rule will be blocked.

3.1 Rules Description

Several rules can be created in the blacklist, including “Title”, “Phone”, “Apply to”, “SMS keyword”, “Apply to SMS”, “Apply to Call”, “Valid

Period”etc. for each.

Rules can be input manually or imported from the Contacts, call log and inbox.

Existing rules can be edited or deleted at any time.

3.2 Instructions on Application

At the main interface of MCleaner, select “Blacklist” and enter. Select “Input Manually” and a new rule of blacklist can be created.

Title:

Refers to the name of the rule for better identification, such as “Zhang San”. If the title is void, “unamed” will be shown.

Phone:

Inputs a phone number and its application range, thus incoming calls and messages from this number can be blocked. (including mobile phone and fixed telephone).

Apply to:

There are three application ranges such as “Message+Call”, “Message” and “Call”.

SMS keyword:

Keyword is only applicable to short messages. Generally speaking, short messages containing the key words will be blocked. If key words and phone numbers are both applied, only messages that accord with both conditions will be blocked.

Example 1:The phone number is “13812345678” and the keyword is “invoice”, which is applied to the mode of "Apply to SMS"and "Apply to Call", then only messages according with“13812345678” and key word of “invoice” will be blocked. If either of the two conditions is not fulfilled, then it will not be blocked. For precision specified number,you could reject all numbers containing the keyword or in the contacts.

Apply to SMS:

Start it ,the sms will be blocked accord with SMS rules.

Apply to Call:

Start it ,the calls will be blocked accord with call rules.

Example 2:If the phone number “13812345678” is applied on “Apply to SMS”and”Apply to Call”, calls and messages from this number will be blocked.

3.3 Advanced Application

Wildcard and fuzzy numbers can be used for phone numbers in the rule.

Wildcard includes * and ?

Wildcard *:

Represents any digit and number. For example, 138* represents any numbers starting with 138; *138* means 138 is only a part of this number, namely, any number with 138 accords with this setting. Similarly, *138 represents any number ending with 138.

Wildcard ?:

Represents one digit of any number. For example, “?” in 138?2345678 represents one number from 0 to 9.

Fuzzy number:

Refers to any part of the number, namely, number segment such as 136. Generally speaking, functions for numbers in 6 digits or less than 6 digits are as same as *136*. The wildcard is also applicable to key words. * represents any character, while ?represents only one character.

3.4 Rules Import

Contacts

Mass import from the Contacts is applicable. Under default setting, the contact name will be the “title”, while the mobile phone number will be the “Phone Number ” .

Call log

Mass import from the Call log is applicable. All records of phone calls made, answered and answered in the communication record can be quickly imported.

Inbox

Mass import from short message inbox is applicable, which is convenient for users to set rules based on short messages received so as to block or accept these messages.

4 Whitelist

Whitelist refers to the messages and phone calls that users would like to accept besides those made from phone numbers of the address book.

Phone calls and messages that accord with whitelist rule will not be blocked. Whitelist has higher priority than blacklist.

The contacts containing call number and sms are acceptable in default ,not add in the whitelist.

Rule setting of Whitelist is quite the same as that of blacklist.

5 Settings

“Settings” is the core of MCleaner. Only by making correct configuration can you obtain better services.

Priority of rule treatment of the system is: whitelist>blacklist>Contacts>unknown(messages or incoming calls).

5.1 Basic Setting

Whitelist:

“Accept” will accept all messages and incoming calls that accord with conditions of the whitelist, while “Ignore” will disable this function, and “Accept ” is recommended;

Blacklist:

“Block” will block all messages and incoming calls that accord with conditions of the blacklist, while “Ignore” will disable this function, and “Block” is recommended;

Contacts:

“Accept ” will accept all messages and incoming calls from contacts of the business card folder, while “Ignore” will disable this function, and “Accept” is recommended;

The Contacts here only refers to that of mobile phone, excluding the

phone book in SIM card.

5.2 Call Options

1) Busy to Voicemail:

If the incoming calls are blocked, the tone of “Sorry, the subscriber you dialed is busy now.” will be heard;

2) Ignore the Call:

There is no any notification on your iphone, while for the remote party, it looks like your phone is ringing and waiting your accept;

3) Hangup and Reply SMS

Private Call:

Incoming calls that do not show phone numbers are defaulted as “Accept”;

Unknown Number

Incoming calls that do not accord with any rule of whitelist, blacklist or business card folder will be defined as “Unknown Number”, Default is “Accept ”;

Block Mode:

Treatment mode to incoming calls blocked.

If this function is activated, a template of “Reply by SMS defaulted” is available for users to edit. If the incoming calls are blocked, the tone of “Sorry, the subscriber you dialed is busy now.” will be heard and the edited short message will be sent to the caller automatically. As for the calls made continuously, the replying short message will be sent only once every 15 minutes;

4) Mute Ringer:

It is a special blocking mode. When the incoming calls are blocked, the caller will receive same response as normal calls except for rings are deactivated. For example, the incoming calls will be displayed on the mobile phone as usual and the caller will hear normal ringing tone and this record will not be included in the blocking log.

5)Hangup the call:

The incoming call will be hung up immediately.

6)Accept and Hangup: Hungup the call right after accept it,so there wont be "voicemail" for the blocked call.

5.3 Message Options

Private SMS:

Messages that do not show phone numbers sent are recommended to be “block”.

Unknown Number:

Messages that do not accord with any rule of whitelist, blacklist or business card folder will be defined as “Unknown Number”,Default is “block”;

Password:

Password to run this software, which is composed of numbers only. If the password is set to be null, it means there’s no password;

Confirm:

Retype the password;

Logs Kept Period:

The maximum duration of storing the blocking log;

Remote Conn. Vib:

If you call someone and he accepted, then your iphone will vibrate for 0.2 second. so you dont have to keep watching your iphone to know if he accepts your iphone ( it is a heathy funtion).

Blocked Indicator:

Set if a warning icon is displayed or not at the top right corner of the screen when messages or incoming calls are blocked. To select “Yes” is recommended.

Disable Sms Preview:

Start it , the normal sms will not popup automatically;

Fake for wrong Pass:

If you have setup a password and someone wants to open MCleaner on your iphone, but he inputs a wrong password, he can login, but he can not find any real data, but only a faked ui. (so make him not trying to guess your correct password ).

6 My Logs

By default setting, all short messages and incoming calls blocked will be stored in the “My Logs”. Users can check messages and incoming calls

blocked at any time and make corresponding operations.

Message sending and calling logs to phone numbers in the blacklist will be kept in the blocking log.

Call:

The blocked calles will be kept but not in the communication record;

SMS:

The blocked messages will be kept but not in the inbox of the mobile phone;

As to the blocking log, click “Options”, and there are several operations as below:

Add the phone number in the blocking log to the whitelist;

Add the phone number in the blocking log to the blacklist;

Users can make phone calls to the caller directly;

Users can reply to the sender with SMS;

Skip the top record;

Skip the next record;

7 Profiles

Profiles is the fastest blocking mode. Working mode of MCleaner can be temporarily changed, subject to different scenarios. Once it is set, it will

be immediate effective.

Accept All:

When it starts, all short messages and incoming calls will be accepted.(Combination rule of whitelist, blacklist and configuration options set before become temporarily ineffective, similarly hereinafter).

Block All:

When it starts, all short messages and incoming calls will be blocked.

Accept Contacts Olny:

When it starts, only short messages and incoming calls from contacts listed in the mobile phone will be accepted, others will be blocked.

Accept Contacts & Whitelis:

When it starts, only SMS and incoming calls from contacts and Whitelist will be accepted, others will be blocked.

Accept Whitelist Olny:

When it starts, only short messages and incoming calls that accord with conditions of the whitelist will be accepted, others will be blocked.

Block Blacklist Olny:

When it starts, only short messages and incoming calls that accord with conditions of the blacklist will be blocked, others will be accepted.

Accept Call Only:

When it starts, accept all incoming calls and block all SMS.

Accept SMS Only:

When it starts, accept all sms and block all incoming calls

8 Schedular

Schedule management will enable users to automatically start the blocking rule and related scenario mode that have been set in specific time.

Different blocking modes can be adopted in different time period.

Start schedular in the option if you want to use the schedule management mode.

Set Schedule:

Enter into the interface of schedule management, Click “New”, and then enter into the schedule editing interface.

A schedule is composed of “time period”, “Available when” and “Profile”.

1) Profile

Profile can be set separately in the schedule. The Profile will be adopted in the effective time period.

2)Time of Start and End

Time periods can be customized, which starts at start time of the schedule and circulate with a period of 24 hours.

3)Available when

You can enter into the interface of week setting. You can set the working mode at any day of a week based on a circulation of one week.

Multiple Schedules:

Multiple schedules can be created in the schedule management. Time periods of the multiple

schedules can be set randomly. If there exists time conflict, it will function in priority according

to the order of the schedule list.

For example :look figure, creat three scheduals, the first one sets up from 21:00 to 9;00

o’clock ,the second one set up from 8;00 to 19;00 o’clock ,the third one sets up from 17:00 to

23:00 o’clock .

The effects as follow:

All block from 21:00 to 9:00 o’clock (guarantee the first one ),all accept from 9:00 to 19:00

o’clock (when conflicting between the first one and the second one,give in the first

schedul),accept contacts only from 19:00 to 21:00 (when conflicting time,give in the first and

second schedul ).then Continue circulating in the next twenty-four hour.
