EFFECTIVENESS!

That’s our motto for 2013. For the fi rst time we will be offering

our MBA Lounge at three different locations.

Following the inaugural MBA Lounge in November 2012 in

Stuttgart (Germany) we have received a lot of praise, as well

as interesting suggestions and ideas for improvements for the

new event format MBA Lounge both from exhibitors and visitors.

Based on this feedback we have optimized and further developed

the MBA Lounge for 2013 - all in the spirit of greater effective-

ness for your student recruitment needs.

Four key changes to the MBA Lounges in 2013:

1. The MBA Lounges will be open from 4pm to 9pm.

2. We are revising our visitor registration tool “Matchmaker”

to better match exhibitors and visitors, provide improved

visitor orientation and yield greater levels of commitment

for appointments.

3. We will optimise our visitor marketing, adding new activi-

ties, in order to increase the quantity as well as the quality

of our visitors.

4. Adaptation of the spatial concept, in order to have all semi-

nars and lectures within reach of the conference area.

In 2013, our MBA Lounges will take place in Munich, Berlin and Stuttgart. Participation in the events gives you an ideal opportunity to

promote your MBA, EMBA and Executive Masters programmes to a tailored audience.

THE CONCEPT

Event Format: Advisory consultations by appointment within the conference area, round table presentations by higher

education institutions, expert lectures.

Visitors per location: 250 – 400 potential candidates for MBA, EMBA and Executive Masters programmes

(graduates and professionals).

Exhibitors per location: 20 - 30 universities and business schools.

UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS

100% prospective students for MBA, EMBA and Executive Masters programmes.

Exhibitors have the opportunity to organise round table presentations.

Lecture programme with renowned national and international experts.

Highly effi cient meetings with the aid of our planning tool “Matchmaker”. Visitors request an appointment with the exhibitor and

in doing so provide key information about themselves, which allows exhibitors to assess if the requesting visitor matches the

institution’s candidate profi le. Only if there is a good match will the request be approved and the appointment confi rmed by the

exhibitor. Contact details of the confi rmed visitors will of course be made available to you.

THE CONCEPT

THE MBA LOUNGE

A MEETING PLACE FOR MBA, EMBA AND EXECUTIVE MASTERS PROGRAMME PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS AND PROVIDERS

The MBA Lounge takes place parallel to our MASTER AND MORE fairs in Munich,

Berlin and Stuttgart and gives MBA, EMBA and Executive Masters programme pro-

viders the opportunity to meet prospective candidates for in-depth conversations in

a quiet and attractive setting. In order to ensure such pleasant conditions, visitors

can register for the MBA Lounge ahead of the event in order to request a consultation

appointment with exhibiting higher education institutions.

PRESENTATIONS AND ROUND TABLE SESSIONS

The expert forum addresses specifi c questions and topics of interest, such as ‘GMAT’,

‘MBA Rankings’ or ‘Diversity of Executive Masters programmes’. MBA Lounge exhibi-

tors also have the opportunity to hold a round table discussion, where, for example, an

alumni could gather with up to 10 visitors to share his or her experiences. Exhibitors

may also give a presentation about their institution at a round table session.

SHOWCASE YOUR PROFESSIONALISM AS A HOST

MBA Lounge exhibitors initially welcome their guests in the general reception area.

1-2-1 meetings are then held in a professional setting within the conference area. If any questions remain unanswered after the offi cial

consultation, exhibitors and visitors can continue the conversation (for example with a colleague or alumni) in an informal atmosphere

at either the bistro tables or the comfortable settees available in the general reception area. Our catering provides beverages and

snacks for exhibitors and guests of the MBA Lounge.

MARKETING FOR THE MBA LOUNGE

The MBA Lounge is promoted to graduates and young and experienced professionals.

We cooperate with regional and national media for our marketing and employ target-specifi c visitor marketing strategies (outdoor

advertising, online marketing, direct mailings to businesses etc.). In 2013 we will further build on the successful strategies of previous

years and introduce new marketing measures, such as incorporating alumni and career networks into our marketing strategies.

EFFICIENT CONSULTATIONS WITH ‘MATCHMAKER’

Consultation sessions at the MBA Lounge take place in 30-minute intervals. Consultation slots for exhibitors and visitors are allocated

and agreed via the „Matchmaker“ online tool, prior to the sessions.“Matchmaker” is a feature of our www.mba-lounge.de website,

which offers an exclusive opportunity for your institution to have an online presence (i.e. web profi le). The Matchmaker selection pro-

cess ensures that MBA Lounge exhibitors can expect to meet suitable candidates for the 1-2-1 sessions that present a good fi t to the

requirements of their programme. Here is how it works:

1. Institutions set up and maintain their institution and application requirement profi les online.

2. Candidates create a personal application profi le (including a CV).

3. Matchmaker compares the profi les and suggests a match based on the best fi t.

4. Following the suggested match, visitors then request a consultation slot with the respective institutions. The requested time slot

is blocked out until the institution has either confi rmed or rejected the request.

5. The institution then evaluates whether the visitor requesting a time slot is suitable and either confi rms or rejects the request.

In case of an acceptance, the time slot will be fi xed and in case of a rejection the time slot will be made available for other applicants.

Matchmaker ensures a high level of effi ciency and effectiveness in the planning and consultation process.

We have had some interesting candidates for us at our MBA Lounge fair stand

and we are happy about this kind of publicity. In the end, I am very satisfi ed with

the turn out.

SUCCESSFUL EVENT AT STUTTGART LIEDERHALLE

Stuttgart, 27th November 2012: The MBA Lounge, an event tailo-

red to MBA, EMBA and Executive Masters candidates, launches

its fi rst event in Liederhalle’s Silchersaal.

A combination of individual consultations, expert lectures and

round table presentations made the fi rst MBA Lounge a particu-

larly stimulating event. 250 prospective MBA, EMBA and Executive

Masters candidates took the opportunity to connect with universi-

ties and business schools in an exclusive setting.

VISITOR TESTIMONY

The more research you do on the topic of an MBA the more unsure

you become with the vast amount of programmes available. This

event is ideal in order to gather independent information and

expert opinions. Both the consultations with representatives of

universities as well as the round table presentations were very

helpful and have provided me with some concrete recommenda-

tions and insider tips.

I really enjoyed the MBA Lounge. The format is a little more exclusive and that is

refl ected in the selection of participating institutions: top tier business schools

and universities took part!

The atmosphere was also very pleasant; the tables provided for the consultations,

the catering and the possibility to engage with people.

I have attended other MBA events and must say I very much like this open fair

format with individual discussions. The preparedness of visitors to engage with

GGS and its programme offers was super. My expectations have been fully met.

The standard rate for taking part in the MBA Lounge is €3,500 (net) per event location. Exhibitors who also participate in the res-

pective MASTER AND MORE fair in Stuttgart, Munich and/or Berlin can upgrade their booking to include participation in the MBA

Lounge for €2,500 (net) per location.

The price for a 30-minute round table session slot is €350 (net), at which you may give a presentation or organise a talk with one or
