Major City Accomplishments:
• Homicides and shootings: violent crimes down from 1,055 (2012) to 930 (2014); and for youth it went down from 464 (2012) to 378 (2014)
• Police Diversion Program
• DBH trained over 2,000 police officers in crisis intervention
• Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative (JDAI) increasing the number of youth allowed to stay in community
• Quality Service Review (QSR) for shared DHS/Juvenile System cases in the 22nd District
• $86,000 in private funding to place 904 youth in summer jobs
• Over $500,000 in federal grants for North Central Philadelphia
• Community Outreach Events
• HHP expanded to Temple University
• Funders Roundtable
• Temple Analysis in 22nd Police District
• National Forum on Youth Violence Prevention: peer-to-peer exchange
