Coach Riggin calls Coach Truscott on the cell and says, “We’ve got an emergency on our hands!” And Coach Truscott says, “What kind of emergency?” (Now, if you’ve ever been out on the golf course, you’ll see lots of golfers casually waiting to tee off with their tee in their mouth, much like chewing on a tooth pick.) And Coach Riggin responds to Coach Truscott on the phone, “Kyle swallowed his tee!” Well, after much discussion and thoughts on what to do — even a phone call to Kyle’s mother — the Scotty senior wanted to play on, and it was agreed that he could. An update from Coach Truscott this morning is that the tee has yet to show up (she got a text from Kyle). On that, we wish Kyle the best. That Kyle... he certainly makes us smile!

Yeah, but wheres the tee? You may remember reading in the Buzz when the Scotty golf season was just getting underway that theres never a dull moment when Kyle Humberts around. Fast forward to the Northern B Divisional Golf Meet on Monday, May 4th. Kyle once again kept things exciting, to say the least. Coach Riggin calls Coach Truscott on the cell and says, Weve got an emergency on our hands! And Coach Truscott says, What kind of emergency? (Now, if youve ever been out on the golf course, youll see lots of golfers casually waiting to tee off

with their tee in their mouth, much like chewing on a tooth pick.) And Coach Riggin responds to Coach Truscott on the phone, Kyle swallowed his tee! Well, after much discussion and thoughts on what to do even a phone call to Kyles mother the Scotty senior wanted to play on, and it was agreed that he could. An update from Coach Truscott this morning is that the tee has yet to show up (she got a text from Kyle). On that, we wish Kyle the best. That Kyle... he certainly makes us smile!

  • A German Engineer just started his own business in Afghanistan. Hes making land mines that look like prayer mats. And the business is doing quite well, indeed. He says prophets are going through the roof.

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking a campground host for Bearpaw Lake Fishing Access Site, located on the second lake in Beaver Creek Park, south of Havre. This is a volunteer position. The camp host would be responsible, among other things, for checking fee compliance, general cleanup, and answering questions from campers. The volunteer must have their own personal RV or camping trailer. A host pad provides free electricity, water, telephone, sewage, and a picnic table.

The position is available from May 25-June 30, and from August 1-September 7. Currently, July already has a volunteer committed. It is preferred that the host is there for the time period of May-June and August-September, but other arrangements could be made for shorter durations. For more information and details, please contact Kelly Compton at the FWP Havre Area Office at 265-6177 between 10 am and 2 pm daily, or contact BJ Kemp at the FWP Glasgow Office at 228-3705.

Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nashua has recently installed a new sound system in their church and social hall. This project has been years in the making. Not only were the needs of the congregation considered in the planning of this project but also considered were events when the community uses the building. Our Redeemer had many fund raisers to fetch the funds necessary. And then it was difficult to find a company interested in a small church. But thanks to Steve Carlson of North Star Audio Consulting of Bismarck, the state of the art sound system was installed on April 11th. The church that day was a beehive of activity with church members helping to hang speakers, string wires, provide meals, etc. A special thanks to Dan Durell for the use of his power lift, the job couldnt have gotten done without it. In thankfulness to God for providing such a wonderful gift, Our Redeemer Lutheran is planning a celebration service on Sunday, May 10th at 11:15 a.m. The theme for the worship will be, Joyful Hands and Voices Serving the Community. It will be a regular concert as a number of musicians from the faith community share their talents. The new sound system will be dedicated, as well as the blessing of quilts, layettes and health kits. And since this day is Mothers Day, there will be a special recognition of all mothers. In thankfulness to God for providing such a wonderful gift of their new sound system, it will be a service of praise, thanksgiving and dedication. Following the service there will be an appreciation dinner. Meat, buns and beverage will be provided. Please bring a salad to share along with a can of your favorite fruit or vegetable to help stock the Womens Resource Food Pantry.

  • You cant outsmart old geezers An old geezer, who had been a retired farmer for a long time, became very bored and decided to open a medical clinic. He put a sign up outside that said:

Dr. Geezers clinic. Get your treatment for $500, if not cured get back $1,000.

Doctor Young, who was positive that this old geezer didnt know beans about medicine, thought this would be a great opportunity to pocket an easy thousand dollars. So he went to Dr. Geezers clinic. This is what transpired: Dr. Young: Dr. Geezer, I have lost all taste in my mouth. Can you please help me?Dr. Geezer: Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in Dr. Youngs mouth.Dr. Young: Aaagh !! This is Gasoline!Dr. Geezer: Congratulations! Youve got your taste back. That will be $500. Dr. Young gets annoyed and goes back after a couple of days figuring to recover his money.Dr. Young: I have lost my memory, I cannot remember anything.Dr. Geezer: Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in the patients mouth.Doctor Young: Oh no you dont, that is Gasoline!Dr. Geezer: Congratulations! Youve got your memory back. That will be $500. Dr. Young (after having lost $1000) leaves angrily and comes back after several more days.Dr. Young: My eyesight has become weak I can hardly see!!!!Dr. Geezer: Well, I dont have any medicine for that so heres your $1000 back.Dr. Young: But this is only $500...Dr. Geezer: Congratulations! You got your vision back! That will be $500.Moral of story Just because youre Young doesnt mean that you can outsmart an Old Geezer!

Pippin is new TREG DirectorThis Just in! Former Valley County Commissioner David Pippin has accepted the position of Director of Two Rivers Economic Growth. Pippin, a lifelong resident of Valley County, believes that the potential for economic growth in Valley County and the surrounding area is very obtainable and is very necessary if we are to continue to maintain our current area communities. As Dave says, We have the renewable resources and the energy to produce many more value added product right here. Dave says he very excited about the appointment and looks forward to the task ahead. He feels that we need to stay connected to our surrounding business markets but feels that the real potential for business development is right here and the current business climate is favorable and are very possible with current interest rates and public support. One of the biggest challenges in todays markets is the development and the retention of an adequate work force that commands an equitable wage. TREG intends to be more accessible to the business community that it supports and can help with the problems encountered in start-up and expanding businesses. We must always try to preserve our quality of life and at the same time remain competitive in todays market place, Dave said.

  • Friday Funnies by Sugar

This guy who is drunk as a skunk walks into the cop shop at 3 in the morning and tells the officer on duty, Id like to have a word with that S.O.B. you arrested who broke into our house last week. Sensing trouble, the officer informs him that this is against police policy and would not be possible. You dont understand, says the man. Id just like to find out how he managed to get into the house without waking up my wife.

Paddy had been drinking at his local Dublin pub all day and most of the night celebrating Irelands football victory. Mick, the bartender, says Youll not be drinking any more tonight, Paddy. Paddy replies OK Mick, Ill be on me way then. Paddy spins around on his stool and steps off. He falls flat on his face. Shoite he says and pulls himself up by the stool and dusts himself off. He takes a step towards the door and falls flat on his face. Shoite, Shoite! He looks to the doorway and thinks to himself that if he can just get to the door and some fresh air hell be fine. He belly crawls to the door and shimmies up to the door frame. He sticks his head outside and takes a deep breath of fresh air, feels much better and takes a step out onto the sidewalk. He falls flat on his face. BiYasus... Im tanked, he says. He can see his house just a few doors down, and crawls to the door and shimmies up the door frame, opens the door and shimmies inside. He takes a look up the stairs and says No way! He crawls up the stairs to his bedroom door and says If i can just make it to me bed. He takes a step into the room and falls flat on his face. He says Aw, forget it! and sleeps on the floor. The next morning, his wife, Jess, comes into the room carrying a cup of coffee and says, Get up Paddy. Did you have a bit to drink last night? Paddy says, I did,Jess. I was tanked.. But howd yee know? Mick called. You left y wheelchair at the pub. Again.

My nutritionist told me to only eat foods if I could pronounce their ingredients. I gained a lot of weight after taking organic chemistry.
