I have a long history with the AAMS and served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Texas Association of Air Medical Services (TAAMS), November, 2013-November, 2015. Through TAAMS, I founded and chaired the Texas EMS Hall of Honor Golf Tournament, which raises proceeds for families who have lost a loved one in the EMS line of duty. Most recently, I represented TAAMS at a Texas Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) meeting with the Rate Analysis Division in response to a proposed 28% reduction to the Texas Medicaid fixed wing reimbursement rate. I’m continuously working with healthcare systems, Lobbyists and Regional Advisory Councils (RAC’s) for support.
