A Monthly Newsletter to Inform and Entertain Our Clients
May 2015 Mother’s Day Edition
Something to Think About... Here’s something a little different this month. Instead of the usual fun or edu-cational video, I thought I’d provide a link to site that demonstrates an innova-tive new product that you will love—the first mini-robotic printer. ZUtA Labs has reinvented the classic printer with this really cool pocket-sized printer. It connects wirelessly to any device and can print any size paper. Watch this.

It’s a shame we celebrate Mother’s Day but once a year for it seems far too little recognition for all they have done during our lives. After all, where would we be without their unconditional love, guidance and support?
Moms taught us how to do most every-thing we take for granted—eating, dress-ing, how to tie our shoes, how to be polite and respectful of others. For many, it’s our moms that have had the most impact on our lives.
I can thankfully say that I was blessed with a mother who selflessly sacrificed and gave of herself while raising my sister and me and I am tremendously thankful for all she did to
help shape me.
I also admire my wife, Linda, for being an amaz-ing mom to my three sons. Now that my sons are adults, I know they, too, appreciate all that she did to make them who they are today. In fact, they often express their appreciation to her, which is something we should all do more often.
So let’s not forget to thank mom for all she has done for us, but do so not just on Mother’s Day, but all year long.
I leave you with this Mother’s Day gift advice which I ran across recently:
“Don't forget to pick up a bottle of wine for your Mom for Mother's Day. After all, you're one of the reasons she drinks.”
Client Corner This month, I want to say “Thank You” and welcome to one of our newest cli-ents; Chad Vaughn from Enlink Mid-stream in Plaquemine, LA.
Chad and his team recently selected Revco and Evans Consoles to build a control console in their new natural gas facility control room.
The design we created used our Evans Strategy product line which is our most popular console product (see page 4). Since the completion of the project, Chad has asked us to custom design a matching conference table to augment the room. Thank you, Chad.

Do You Sudoku? This one is a little tougher. It’s just like a
regular Sudoku, but additionally, each
digit must appear only once along the
diagonal lines.
Two Surprising Reasons
You’re Tired
Do you find yourself getting tired during
the workday? Here are two reason for
that mid-day slump and what you can do
to prevent it.
Too Much Clutter—It may be time to
clean your desk. Research at Princeton
University shows that too much stimula-
tion in your visual space (like a cluttered
work area) restricts your ability to con-
centrate and process information.
“Multiple unrelated objects in close prox-
imity to each other compete for your
brain’s resources,” says Stephanie
McMains, PhD, study author and staff
scientist at the Center for Brain Science
at Harvard University. Keep clutter to a
minimum to avoid sapping your mental
energy, and try to group items in a mean-
ingful way. “Individual objects that form
part of a larger group will not compete
with each other as much,” says Dr.
McMains. “You can also try spreading
items out, so objects in the left versus
right visual field don't compete as much
as things right next to each other.”
Skipping Your Workout—Feeling
wiped is a common excuse for cutting the
gym, but skipping your workouts may be
why you’re so drained in the first place.
A 2006 study from the University of
Georgia found that light exercise reduced
feelings of fatigue by as much as 65%
and boosted energy levels by 20%. “We
believe exercise may alter neurotransmit-
ters in the brain that promote feelings of
energy,” says Patrick O’Connor, PhD,
study author and professor in the depart-
ment of kinesiology at the University of
Georgia.

What is it about chocolate? A bite of
chocolate can finish a meal or start a ro-
mance. And, as we now know, chocolate
is actually good for you! Researchers
have discovered that eating moderate
amounts of dark chocolate has a blood-
thinning effect, which can benefit cardio-
vascular health. It may also boost the im-
mune system by reducing inflammation.
Here’s a chocolate treat that can be en-
joyed anytime the urge strikes. And men,
this easy to make recipe makes for a great
surprise for the lady in your life.
Chocolate Fondue
3 oz. Bittersweet Chocolate, chopped
2 Tbsp. Heavy Cream 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Pinch of Salt 1 Banana cut into chunks
Pineapple, cut into 1” chunks Strawberries
1. Place chocolate, cream, vanilla & salt into microwaveable bowl, heat on medium for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 20 seconds.
2. Pour mixture into bowls and serve warm with bananas, pineapple and strawberries.
